Out of curiosity, what are the general leftist views on those who cheat on their partners in relationships?
In addition, what about views on polygamy?

Thursday my organisation will have a meeting to discuss and lay down the party line on these issues.
...no.
It is not something that concerns anyone except the directly involved.
And polygamy means what? Saudi Arabia's style of polygamy? Or polyamory?

I don't consider cheating a problem, ever. I might be in a monogamous relationship, but I'd never be mad, jealous, pissed, or anything negative if my girlfriend had sex with someone else or kissed someone else. If she didn't want to be with me anymore, then that'd be the end of the relationship, also vice versa.
As for polygamy, I think that people should be able to have as many partners as they'd like, but if by polygamy you mean some dude having as many 'chicks' as he can then I call that bullshit.

I think communication is key. An assembly should be held first hour is pronouns.

I have no issue with polygamy in principle but in practice it would be tricky (see below). there does appear to be a cultural bias towards thinking men can have several wives; why can't women have several husbands; or even a have a bisexual mixture?
On cheating; it's tricky because this is an area of politics which is so personal that people get hurt really easily. Sexual Revolution hurts people, especially those who aren't ready for it. In an ideal world, you'd try to 'open' the relationship up so that the person you are already with knows your going with someone else, but this really depends on if the people involved will let it happen and break the taboo.
But cheating behind someone's back is deceitful. You're lying to the person your cheating on and cheating with- and whilst you might get the sex, sex isn't just a physical act but a psychological one too. so cheating is hardly a substitute for truly intimate relationship and will probably make you unhappy trying to cover it up. Ideally you can be open with someone about how you feel and where you want it to go. I'm not speaking from experience, but in the long-run it might be better to get hurt and tell the truth to all concerned- but unless your sleeping with a radical or liberal whose open to it, it will probably be really disastrous.
