go/stay somewhere where you feel relaxed and safe i.e. your home or secluded nature, a party or any other place you have to interact with people (let alone pigs etc) you are not comfortable being of your face arround is a big no no.
if this is your first start with a half dose tops, you can always take more if it goes nicely.
and then go with the flow.
dont be disapointed if it doesnt agree with you, give it another try if you want or just walk away and explore other drugs. i for one react to strongly on mushrooms, but there is plenty more exiting things in natures chemistry set to play arround with.

I prefer to just like chill in my room with my cats and OBL, cuz this provides security and the sense that within this small space I can be as tripped out as I want. I also like to make food beforehand cuz this one time I wanted to cook and almost burn the kitchen down so it's probably best to have all that shit out of the way. Maybe have some weed if you need a lil calm me down. Plus Netflix or youtubes, something streamy, you know. And blankets. And milk. Like a gallon. Plus like idk a snuggie?9

There's never a sure thing but most people find that to be more chill than common alternatives. Expect to have an upset stomach, but it will pass. It's a good intro for that sort of thing... It doesn't last as long as LSD and many people get a stoned kind of high from it (unlike LSD) along with the tripping part.
Have a nice group of people to do it with, don't have things pressing on your mind, normal things are much trippier than things that are supposed to be trippy.

Do google reading on potential consequences such as HPPD and decide if the risk is worth it, don't just fish for positive encouragement while ignoring the potential risks. That's my advice.

First, go to http://www.erowid.org/plants/mushrooms/mushrooms.shtml
Here you will find safety and health tips, proper dosing techniques and information, as well as scholarly articles and first hand knowledge of the substance. Knowledge is key for a safe experience.
As a supplement I would suggest you read The Psychedelic Experience
http://psychedelicfrontier.com/free-book-psychedelic-experience-timothy-leary/
Leary's mystical rambling aside, the book provides great advice in terms of preparing before, during, and after the psychedelic experience.
Set and Setting is key. You will find all you need to know about these concepts in the book. The first few chapters in the book is all you really need to know, the rest is subjective but decent descriptions on the types of experiences you may encounter.
GET A TRIP SITTER. DO NOT CALL OR CONTACT ANYONE OUTSIDE OF THE SETTING.
Only contact a hospital if you are experiencing an allergic reaction or have physically injured yourself.
Remember, when you take the ticket you are going on the ride. You have to be completely comfortable with this and the fact that you will be intoxicated for upwards if 6-8 hours. If you have any concerns or apprehension at all, STOP, there is no harm in waiting a few more weeks or months to feel fulling comfortable.

Are you at a point in life where you're somewhat content and things at least appear to be going in a good direction?

Yes, I'm very much content and feeling very well despite some minor issues. I feel everything is going in a lovely direction!

Then this would make a bad experience less likely. Tell me, do you have any sort of mental condition, professionally diagnosed or otherwise? If not, is there a prominent history of anything like that in your family?
If you do decide to take them (I would hope a lot of thought and research would determine your decision) I recommend doing them around nature, on a sunny day. Preferably near a body of water, and it's also important to be with someone who you're comfortable with, who you can trust. I wouldn't recommend doing them alone, and I would definitely advise having someone watch you (that is, if the person you're comfortable with is also tripping).

Would being diagnosed with ADD, ADHD, Asperger's syndrome, and FLS/D(frontal lobe syndrome/disorder) from a professional count, the other thing I could partly self diagnose I'm overcoming, though the depression, anxiety, the occasional panic attack, those would count. In my family there are several individuals that are bipolar and I seem to hit that very, very mildly, but I doubt I'm bipolar, I do get slight mood swings though, but usually it's from something outside, so it doesn't count.

All advice is well-taken!!! I'll heed everything that I read from sources and from what people say.
I think I'm ready pretty much to take them. Though the dealer I bought them from consumed the quarter I bought because he was at a party, he promised me a quarter and an eighth of pot to compensate.

tbh from reading your more intimate and personal posts around the forum and especially your above post citing panic attacks, depression, and anxiety, if I were in your place knowing what I know now, and i'm not saying I know more than you or anything like that, I wouldn't do any psychedelic and I would avoid pot and alcohol
The consequences are sometimes permanent, forever.

I understand completely, Mari3L. Pot helps me and alcohol has been affecting more positively :) all of the negativity is exponentially waning and I feel very great.
I also forget I've posted very intimate/personal things  what are your thoughts on me as a person based on those? What if I ruin myself? What if I'm not afraid of ruining myself? Im extremely drawn to psychedelics, and if you insist I legitimately will not take them, ever. If I take them and I'm ruined how would that make you (as well as others) feel? I'm sure some people would be unmoved/don't care if I ruined myself or accidentally killed myself.

Not really a good position to have when contemplating psychedelic substances. I would not worry about an accidental death if you have a competent trip sitter. Ruining yourself? What do you mean? Are you refering to Mari3l's concern over you developing HPPD?
While have a history of panic attacks, depression, and anxiety has not been shown to increase occurrences of HPPD, it defiantly increases the chance of you experiencing a "bad trip". A "bad trip" will not cause permanent mental damage; just a hellish few hours.

I'm not criticizing your decision to do them I was mainly making an observation that you say 'yeah i'm fine and in a good space mentally' regarding doing something you want to do but then you post about how you aren't doing well elsewhere on the forum.
I believe there is a link between hppd and mental health specifically anxiety which can be related to adhd/add, having a bad trip is the least of your concerns when it comes to using psychedelics with a history of mental health related issues and you can even write off hppd if you'd like to it still applies, it can make things a lot worse.

Good, I'd advise you not to post on this forum during, and actually refrain from any electronic communication.
You don't want to bring the "outside" into your trip. Just enjoy being in the "now".
Good luck and return home safely from your launch.

... A quarter ounce??? I would not advise, even if told it is "low grade". I would just take the standard 1/8th and possible re-dose after T+2 hours

What? Where the hell do you live where they are using some wacky version of the imperial standard.
I wish every dealer would just use the metric system. I hate how some substances switch from imperial to metric and back to imperial as the quantity increases.
