- All suspects must be innocnet until proven guilty

- Noone can be held for more then 48 hours if there is no forensic or physical evidence that the suspect has commited the crime

- The media must not publicise any trail, and must give anonymity to all suspects and witnesses until after the suspect has been found innocent/guilty

- Foreign suspects must be allowed access to their respective embassies, a translator and a soliitor who can speak their language

- Noone under the age of 12 can be put into prison, and anyone between the ages of 12-24 who are convicted must be held in youth jails, not adult jails.

- Convicted criminals must be sentenced on an individual basis, and not to show an example or because of the severity of the crime

- All crimes which do not harm anyone else, their property, the environment or animals are not crimes, and therfore should not be seen as such

- Rehabilitation must be given full precedence over punishment, especially for young/first time offenders

What do you all think of these suggestions?

12, yes. 18, ok. But 24?? No, I think everyone can be considered an adult by the age of 21 if not sooner. I think the current system (age-wise) is fine.

Not quite sure what you mean here... A "accidental" murder in a pub brawl is bad enough. But a pre-meditated murder with some mutilation and extra violence on top is quite clearly a "worse" crime. And, I believe, should be treated as such.

Otherwise pretty good. :)
