I thought this was pretty neat.
The same guys who do Thug Notes on youtube also have a series called 8-Bit Philosophy, where they use graphics and contents from retro video games to explain concepts and ideas on the world's great philosphers.
Their most recent episode was on Marxism. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vz3eOb6Yl1s&list=UU6-ymYjG0SU0jUWnWh9ZzEQ)
It's a simplistic but ultimately accurate explanation of Marx's criticism of capitalism, as well as a basic explanation of what Communism is supposed to be.
(and of course, they had to use Mario for this episode)

So will the advent of communism also lead to the overthrow of Bowser -- ?

I try and avoid YouTube comments nowadays. It's bad for my blood pressure.

Me too... But sometimes the curiosity of how stupid the comments can be just gets to me.

Yes, youtube comment sections are probably the most toxic places on the internet (perhaps only behind the League of Legends community). That being said, there are some very reasonable comments on this video as well.
One of the things I think this particular video does extremely well is to explain Marx's idea of alienation in a very simple, easy to understand visual metaphor. You'd be surprised how such a relatively simple concept can be rather difficult to explain solely in words.

That was very good. The comment section, though... Do I need to say more?

I was unaware of both Thug Nites and 8-Bit. Thank you so much. I really liked the Marx episode and this Plato episode is blowing my mind.

Of course, Karl Marx was a lazy fuck who sponged off of his friends and was too shiftless to even finish his own manifesto. No surprise he wanted a system in place that would take care of his sorry ass.
Dear Marxist gooftards,
Your boy there was a douche. You can post "ad hominem" all you want, but he was still a douche and his ideas only promote jealousy and mediocrity. This is evident by your existence.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
Someone with a job.
