My short term goal as a sushi chef is to be able to wash over 800 pounds of rice during Christmas and New Years season by working 14-18 hours a day for the class that I feed and eats for me. My long term goal is to get as close as I can towards perfection as a sushi and sashimi chef.

I want to conduct conservation-related research on reptiles and amphibians, hopefully at a university job where I'll have plenty of autonomy in such research. But first I've gotta get my bachelor's degree.. then my PhD... then comes post-doc... and then hopefully I can get the job I want.

To be healthy and happy. Live somewhere nice for a change and surround myself with people who play a positive role in my life and make me feel good about myself. Be a good brother/son and do something that makes my family proud. Figure out what I want to do in life and do it well. Find a nice place for voxy and our children to live. Oh and to be able to eat falafel everyday.
Yeah not really one, but whateva.

I guess having more friends and not being a total waste of life would be pretty fun.

If you go for friends, don't get in touch with the artsy ones. They play theatre and write stuff and you have to go and watch it/listen to it every fucking time, no matter how fucking boring it is. Been there, done that....oh wait, I'm still doing it

I think the specifics of the goal changes as I become interested in new or old things and decide to pursue them. Basically what others have said, to be healthy and happy. I want to live for a living. I don't want to spend the majority of my life trapped. I can't live like that, it simply isn't who I am. I have up to this point experienced that trap several times but have, often with permanent and painful emotional and physical consequences, breached through it, and created spurts of happier times. I would love to settle down in a small house somewhere tolerable and travel to do fun things. I doubt that will happen, so I remain on the front lines, because there's no where else that's home.

Heresy. People into theatre are nice to be around for most of the time, though it does attract some snobbish types.
Writers, on the other hand, aren't cool, since everyone knows you only learn how to write after death.

I have no goal. I have no aspirations. But I've said that I'll always be there for two or three people who (or so they say- I doubt them) need me, and I'm not one to renege on promises. So, I'm sticking around being a miserable bastard until my death wish catches up with me and I don't make it out of these situations I put myself in.
The woods are lovely, dark, and deep,
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.
Goals? Nah, I'm blindly and hopelessly pushing forwards until the night inevitably takes me.

Live long enough for immortality to become a possibility, then spend an eternity sleeping, negating the effect somewhat. Failing that, to discover something new and interesting in the field of nuclear structure before dying, scared out of my wits by the thought of not existing.
That and to return to my mindset about five years ago when I still had friends.

I want, just once, to be in a huge protest where there is an informal collective agreement amongst the participants to ignore the bureaucratic leadership and do something militant. Preferably whilst I'm still young and can actively participate.
Apart from that, my immediate goal is to overcome my depression enough that I can get out of this hole that I'm currently in and do something positive with my life.

Naw Brah, I can't have just one main goal in life. I have to string together a bunch of random crap to make me feel accomplished. I wanna have a huge greasy Pompadour, a bad-ass leather jacket, Muscles like Marlon Brando, a wife who I can treasure for the rest of my life, a faithful companion named Tonto, a lifetime supply of orange drink, a partridge in a pear tree, a rare collection of exotic fish, the ability to resurrect Eugene Debs from the grave, and maybe the chance to lead a little proletariat revolution here and there. :che: That's not too much to shoot for, is it?

I've wanted a cat my whole life but a lot of my family is allergic so I can't get a cat. We once had a kitten because we found it in the hood of our car, but we had to give it away because of the allergies. So no I will not raise the bar. The 'bar' is already pretty unattainable it seems.

I just want a cat
I love cats. I had a grey tabby that was my best bud. When he was a kitten, he caught a squirrel that was almost as big as him. I was so proud of him. He was just about the friendliest cat you could ever meet.
I love this video. I could watch it over and over again. Here's to the people that think cat's are loners and don't care about their family like dogs do.
