Out of curiosity, who here likes led zeppelin? I listened to some which seam great, others seem so so.

[edit] they are still better than nirvana :P

Led Zeppelin are fantastic.

Probably my favourite band at the moment.

Which songs did you listen to? Obviously Stairway to Heaven... (right?) What about "Since I've Been Loving You" or "Dazed and Confused"?? There's so many to choose from though!!

They ROCK.

no it doesnt, that was a ploy by religious groups to say that Led Zepplin were "satanists" this "satanist" metal/rock myth was at its peak in the 80's, people like Ozzy Osbourne, Slayer, AC/DC ect were all blamed for suicides and murders because of there "santanic" messages. If you want a good laugh at that read about the history of those assholes at the PMRC.

If it is popularity you want to measure then look at the sales of led zep IV. Bands that sell that many albums will be popular, and yes they achieved a lot.

I have no patience for ballads like stairway to heaven, but i did listen to stairway to heaven, been a long time, achilles last stand, and immagrant song. i thought they were ok, but still better than nirvana.

I just picked up a copy of mozart's requiem, it's about 56 minutes long and about 13 minutes of clapping (it was recorded live). All my led songs are about half as long as the requiem.

i dunno.
I had it in music class. the teacher recorded the song backwards and played it and at one stage itīs supposed to say something like "when satan lives" or anyth. years ago.
Cool teacher tho. Did all dis stuff in music class. Led Zepplin, Nirvana, Sex Pistols, Bob...

I picked OK, but I wish the poll would have had an "Overrated" option. That sums up my opinion of them... I don't dislike them, but I would never buy their CD or even stop if they were on the radio unless every other station has intolerable crap on them.
