A month of strikes of over 5000 of Bafgh iron ore mine workers against policy of government’s privatisation of the mine, passes.

Workers of Bafgh iron ore mine have understood, that, privatisation of mine means: deterioration of job security, low wages, worsening of work condition, reducing of health and safety facilities and beside of these increasing disease and another work related incidents.

In fact Iranian workers have experienced and touched these changes in all of the privatised factories and companies. Bafgh mine workers wants to improve mines health and safety condition, law enforcements of hard and dangerous jobs, changing the managing director of the mine because of his anti-workers policy and above all guaranteed jobs.

Now, half of the workforce of the mine are working with provisional contract and on the other hand, these workers suffer from heart, lounge and… disease and cancer, because of environmental pollution and bad condition of work places, in there.

During this striking times, governments has just promised to do something, but nothing has happened, except having some discussion meeting and of course, trying to fool workers and put them a parts.

In continuation of this policy, Meyer of Bafgh had told: some of the workers want to go back to work, but a few of them, stop the others and looking for something else. But most of the people knew mine workers and their demands very well. Mine works wants to stop privatisation and improve work conditions.

Organisation of Fadaian (Aghaliyat), as supporting of mine works demands, wants all of the work force to be united. We, believe that Iranian working class need an organisation that be their real representative, the organisation the lays on workers mass, organisation that has built up by workers themselves and has right to choose their real representatives.

Workers!
Since the beginning of the strike in Bafgh many other workers are on strike in several factories. The capitalists and their government are united against the working class. Why did the workers should not unite themselves against their class enemies? This is precisely what the capitalists are afraid of. Then we demonstrate the power of the working class and show that the workers do want to endure this state of exploitation, poverty, and oppression.
