The old thread (http://www.revleft.com/vb/you-eating-2-p2774216/index.html#post2774216) was over 800 posts so here's a new one.
I just finished eating falafel and tabbouleh (yes, for breakfast).

I ate rice, pinto beans, corn, and ground turkey. That was mixed together with creole seasoning, and a little butter, the other day. But I just spent like 45 minutes on the shitter, cause of it. My stomach is still killing me from that, I think. Now I'm eating wasabi peas. Which have officially cleared out my sinuses. I don't know why I like to punish myself, but it tastes good.

Dang it...I'm home alone today and I just burnt the rice I was making because I let myself get distracted and go online! Guess I'm having chickpea curry on bread, then. What a good, responsible young lady I am.

I just ate a whole bag of microwave kettle corn. As I'm saving the black beans and rice for tonight. I'll make them with some creole seasoning probably. After that, it's slim pickings for the long haul. I've gotta choose between gas and food, and gas money comes first. But I need to lose weight anyways... I'm sure I'll figure something out. I made baked chicken wings. While not as good as when you fry them. They're much easier to make, and they're very good still. I made half buffalo style, and half with this cola BBQ sauce. I had bacon cheddar potato chips, and lime tortilla chips with chipotle salsa, on the side. With some "Voltage" blue Mountain Dew to drink. I don't cut up the wings either. I leave them whole. I like taking them apart, as I eat them. It's messy, but wings are supposed to be messy, if they got bones. If I had more money, I'd have gotten some ranch/blue cheese, and celery/carrots to go with them.

I'm eating quail eggs, if that counts, because apparently I'm bourgeois or something.
Or it's just that I blew most of my money on a new passport, and if I'm going to starve for a week, I'm going to have something tasty before that damn it.
Also, imported Russian sweets. I swear there's a confectionery company called RotFront.

I recently bought some quail eggs (sorry Quail), not being a vegan (they were cheap at the supermarket), but didn't get to eat them at the weekend and was working away from home during the week. So my kid ate them instead. He hasn't become noticeably more bourgeois since the incident - though now I come to think of it he was sporting a moustache and a top-hat soon afterwards.

Talk to your children about ownership of the means of production.
I always assumed quail eggs were pretty expensive everywhere, but on further reflection, their price here is probably due to "here" being Croatia.

2nd December 2014, 23:15
I think usually they are pretty expensive (in my mind they're definitely a luxury item) but these were marked down because they were near the end of their shelf-life. Which is why they probably needed to be eaten before I got back the following weekend.
Brilliant dad, gets his kids to eat nearly-gone-off food while he's in a different city, oh yeah.

Then I used Gruyere to top it. So much for historical accuracy.

I had some chicken breast and salad for lunch-ish. Had one flat bread circle. I wanted to start meal planning this week but I'm not sure if I'll be able to calculate it my meals tomorrow. My diet's not bad, but it's not enough of a deficit for me.

Today I'm going to cook a lentil soup with aubergine, very tasty and satisfying. This is for lunch. For dinner - chicken soup with noodles.

This is actually pretty sick. I've been able to fix meals and that actually fit my diet plan pretty good despite a busier schedule, got that calorie deficit and hitting my macros pretty good. My most recent meal was a chicken breast sandwich with using an English muffin and with a little powdered peanut butter for extra flavor. Just about 240 calories

I just ate a small bowl of "child-friendly" sweet potato, chickpea and kale curry and brown rice. I had to seriously limit the flavour in it because my son's friend is a super fussy eater, but it was alright considering.

I made a low carb high protein pizza. Probably should've used cream cheese instead of cottage cheese, but I need to get rid of it somehow lol. Next time. Also used the wrong oats which added a hell of a lot more calories. Gotta get the rolled oats

I've been hella on that powdered peanut butter and chocolate powdered peanut butter. The kind you mix with water till thick. Tastes good, and has more than twice as less calories as regular oil peanut butter.
Good sweet, a rice cake. About a tablespoon of that marshmallow sauce. A little over a tablespoon of the chocolate peanut butter powder and goddamn! Under 100 calories too.

baked potatoes cut in half with fresh garlic slices in between, seasoned with salt and olive oil, wrapped up in tinfoil and put into an oven at 425 for about 45 minutes before i check them (i dont' need to check them i basically eat them at that point) and then left in for an additional 15min
maybe i will go really crazy tonight and add fresh slices of bell peppers even though I don't really care for bell peppers
btw the last 2 bags of frozen vegetables I bought were rotten and had frozen maggots, not a lot of them, but even one is enough, and there were at least 3

I rarely think to check, but I have on occasion found frozen caterpillars. Not very vegan...
I'm currently drinking hot cold remedy with a bit of squash and feeling a bit sorry for myself.

gross thankfully they weren't caterpillars, my main concern was with botulism which after a brief research, can exist within environments that are not entirely depleted of oxygen and it's been shown that it can thrive in frozen bags of vegetables (and i'd imagine fruit too)

I made cookies last night and they were really good, so I'll post the recipe here in case anyone wants to make gluten free vegan cookies. I don't think it's even noticeable they're gluten free. I was pretty amazed tbh.
Recipe:
150g margarine
160g golden caster sugar
2tbsp maple syrup
1 large banana (mashed)
1tsp vanilla extract
200g gf plain flour blend
1tsp gf baking powder
Pinch salt
Handful walnut pieces
100g bar of chocolate broken into chunks
Cream the sugar into the marge, stir in the banana, syrup, vanilla. Add flour, baking powder and salt and stir until combined. Add walnuts and chocolate. Cook at 200 degrees for about 15-20 minutes. Eat. Enjoy. Be sad there are none left the following day.

Vegan buffalo wings, with celery, carrots, and vegan ranch. Oh, also have a six pack of pbr and some money on the game. This day could not get better.

I don't like quinoa much, but there's a big bag of it in the back of my cupboard. I mix a bit of it with my rice in the rice cooker now, and it adds quite a good texture to it. I'm slowly using it up.

I didn't use my calorie counting app over the weekend mostly cause 2/3 my meals were eaten out. Then this morning I tried to put it in, and something wasn't scanning. I was like, "yeah fuck this" lol.
My count's been pretty consistent and this weekend I got better at fasting and basically zeroed my snacking. Saturday 2 meals. First was satisfying, second was filling had a shwarma and some fries. Hit that Mediterranean food craving that's been haunting me a while.
Sunday I was out late the night before so I couldn't work out in the morning cause I traded shifts so I had to work when I'm normally off. Sucked. Anyways I fasted all day and had pizza at night. Then a regular peanut butter unhealthy shake. Then a healthy shake cause I wasn't full-full yet. I regret that. My intake wasn't off, but I realized I still have my physical limits about how much food I can eat at a time. It's a learning experience.
Still use my calorie counter for my personal recipe estimation.

Managed to make some homemade protein peanut butter. Around 1300 calories the jar or so. The peanut butter taste is like.. diluted by the protein powder, and I had to fight it with boiling water to get it to blend and become creamy. In the end I got a nice low fat low calorie spread for sandwiches/wraps which helps when I don't have much time 3-4 days out of the week to prep meals. Some sugar free jelly, all set! Some low carb bread makes a nice small meal or 1/2 meal. Or just use a low carb tortilla and you can have 2 for the same caloric intake.

I don't like it either but with blueberries and milk of some sort it's good. The bitter taste gets hidden. Did that and an orzo dish today. Am starving now though hoping people I'm meeting at pub want food too.
