Why hello there everyone! I just so happened to stumble upon this forum and it makes me happy to know that I am not alone with my thoughts. I hope to provide productive thoughts and discussions, but ultimately help the world become a better place. Of course this is a forum, but the masses can change a lot when we work together. I'm probably preaching to the choir, but any way feel free to talk to me about whatever! I should probably state as well that I do fall into a far left stance, just not sure the right political alignment that perfectly describes my thoughts yet.

Welcome :)

If you have questions about your account, don't hesitate to send me a PM or ask here.

What 'far right' stance would that be? Are we talking fascist? Libertarian? Anarcho-capitalist?

Wow I did write far right. I meant far left, excuse me. Must have been because I was tired writing that last night. Still really new to this, glad I found the edit button!

Good thing I asked then ;)

What kind of far left ideas attract you?

I've bounced around from various ideologies, starting with communism a couple years ago, then moving slightly over to more democratic socialism, and after intense research meaning reading basically everything I could get my hand on about both right and left ideas, I'm setting back on communism again. Not sure the exact ideas, but I remember reading the communist manifesto and feeling strange at some parts, no idea which though. One big thing that causes me to go into these tirades of research is that my friend is basically as far right as you can go, so you could imagine the debates. He doesn't listen to reason that often and just laughs at the points I make which causes me to go back and find more concrete things. Plus it gives me doubts here and there, but yeah here I am. Especially with his joke of giving me Atlas Shrugged for my birthday, of which I felt literally nauseous reading for the simply stupid ideas of free reign capitalism helping people.

This might be a helpful reading list (http://www.revleft.com/vb/blog.php?b=7728).

Ah this looks fantastic! Thank you very much! This could very well help me figure things out. So many ideas, so little time to act.

If you like your friend, don't worry about debating politics with him. How does a democratic form of communism sound to you?
