Hey folks, I need some help with getting my embouchure right, I can't play clean single notes for the life of me. Any advice? In the meantime I'll just keep practicing.

Keep practicing. I'd also look up vids on youtube - there's a lot of helpful music lessons there for free. Really it's not something that can be 'taught', but when you find it you'll be good to go.

Make sure you get a cool vest to keep all your harmonicas in.

But that's a bad idea brought about by admins! Surely it can't be good advice?

Just work on sounding out single notes at a time. You need to purse your lips a lot at first but it gets easier over time. I played the flute so the whole lip thing was easier. Maybe you could try blowing on bottles? It's when you direct a stream of air into the top of a bottle at the right angle creating a humming noise. It just helps you train your lips I s'pose.
