2005 G8 Summit

The G8 circus is coming to Britain in 2005 and by all accounts, it is taking place in Gleneagles in Scotland.

I have looked at various messageboards in relation to this, but nothing seems to be happening.

I know that the venue will not be confirmed until this year's event takes place, but surely we should be starting to look at the tactics we are going to employ, publicity, that sort of thing, now, so that when the event comes, we have a huge protest which is effective and sends out a clear message to the world leaders and spectators.

Of course comrades should organise and try to make this protest a huge event but demonstrations and protests do not change the world and don't forget it.

My grandpa has a house right at the site of the 2004 conference. I was sitting in the room where the leaders will be meeting just a few weeks ago.
But I won't be there during the meetings, I don't think. :(

Awsome, I will be moving to Scottland in September. I will be able to house some people and can organize there. When is the G8 meeting going to held?

It has not been confirmed yet, but the likelihood is that the 2005 G8 summit will be in Gleneagles around June/July 2005.

The date and the venue will be confirmed after this year's event on the American Island, I forget what the name is.
