We are not phased by these threats.

The CEO of Revolution Inc. wishes to remind all employees that they are all hired on call contracts and Rev. Inc. technically does not have to assign hours or pay for hours which are not spend productively. If employees want to strike they have this legal right and Rev Inc. won't stop them. They can do this in their own time. Rev. Inc. will of course be forced to pay-roll out the jobs to workers hired on a job assigned basis.


(translation: we have call contracts for 0-hours in the Netherlands. Which basically means you have no right to claim hours but they do expect you to be available for a minimum amount of hours. They can phase out the work schedule and keep you on contract without hours indefinately till the end of contract. If you do not work....you do not get paid. You can claim legacy after 3 months but this will mean the company will gradually reduce your hours over the next three weeks. Your contract won't be terminated however, which means you can't claim any benefits. This is a huge threat...usually when somebody refuses to accept being downsized. It can mean anywhere up to 5 months without income. They can even pay-roll out the jobs to companies which assign people on a job-by-job basis. This means when the company wants to get rid of them they can within 24 hours.)

I see the point you are trying to make here, and I totally appreciate it. No--we cannot expect those against us to react positively to any attempts to uproot the system. If assuring everyone things would be ok worked, we wouldn't be fighting the uphill battle we find ourselves fighting.
