They had Mexican Fanta at the store today, so I bought a couple of bottles. I prefer it to the US recipe. Less sweet, more citrus bite.

I agree, I like it better than the US one as well. I also like Mexican Coca-Cola or Pepsi. Cause it's made with real sugar, not corn syrup. To protect their sugar industry. I was told by my Latino co-workers at my last job, that up until recently, that Coca-Cola in some parts of Latin America still had coca in it. That it also tasted way better than the shit that they've got in the US too.
What I really wanna try is Tropicola and tuKola from Cuba. Tropicola is like Coca-Cola, while tuKola is like Pepsi. They're the recipes from Coca-Cola and Pepsi. They got the recipes when they nationalized and socialized the soda industry in Cuba after the revolution. I'd like to mix them with some Havana Club. ;)

It still does everywhere, but the coca has been decocainized. Coca is still important to the flavor. Anyway it never contained much cocaine.

You comrades have to try some Mexican apple soda. My favorites are Manzanita Sol and Sidral. Also I like this soda that you can pick up at Bevmo. http://www.vintagesodas.com/images/leninade.jpg

Ah, Leninade, a classic. Mix it with vodka, it makes it more fun.

Well from what they were saying, it wasn't "decocainized", I guess.

Yep, I've had Mexican Coke as well. The difference is like night and day.
Pretty much any soft drink that is manufactured in the U.S. is going to suck compared to the rest of the industrialized world. Because the USDA gives out some serious cash in the way of corn subsidies to farmers, pretty much every food or drink product you come in contact with has either corn or some sort of corn byproduct somewhere in it.

Everyone knows Mexican coke is better. Speaking of which, anyone ever had Jarritos? That stuff is great.

Yeah. I remember hearing somewhere that Coca-Cola is the only company with special permission to import large quantities of coca leaves. Not sure how true that is.

Did you ever see 'the informant'? In the first scene Matt Damon is driving past a cornfield with his son and explaining how literally everything is made of corn. Opened my eyes.

This shit's (mexican coke/fanta/sprite/etc) all amazing. Jarritos is good but sometimes it's just too sweet. Careful though make sure the bottle actually says hecho en mexico because this one time the corner store snuck in some fucking american coke in the cooler and I caught it before I bought a bottle.

I love Mexican coca cola and fanta. And Jarritos are amazing. Much better than American soda.
The American formulas taste... heavy to me I don't know how to describe it well.

In the coming socialist utopia, not only will all soft drinks be made from real sugar, but will also help you lose weight!
(Crazy? Maybe, but not as crazy as Fourier's whole speel about the oceans turning into lemonade :P)

Hey, science is a magical thing. Although I think that the ocean turning into lemonade would be cool and a terrible idea at the same time.

I imagine all the dead ocean life would spoil the taste somewhat.
