While attempting to utilize some of the social features on the website, I was informed that members who don't post get deleted once in a while so i figured I should probably post. I've always been a reader rather than a poster because I never feel like anyone give much of a toss about what I have to say.

So here's an introduction!

I'm from the United States and have considered myself at least a socialist for a number of years, but only have I turned more towards the left in recent years. To give you an idea of what it is I believe, I am somewhere between a Libertarian Socialist and a Revolutionary Marxist with very strong sympathies towards the Bolsheviks and the Cuban Socialists. (excluding Stalin because of his hijacking of the Soviet Union)

Historically, I admire Karl Marx, Friedrich Engels, Mikhail Bakunin, Vladimir Lenin, Leon Trotsky, and Che Guevara.

I very much like to speak about politics and philosophy with friends, so I hope I'll get using to using this forum more regularly. I look forward to a long career of education on both ends on this website.

Welcome :)

If you have political questions, you can ask them in the Learning forum. That's why it's there after all!

If you have questions about your account, don't hesitate to send me a PM or ask here.

Mind you that posting in the non-political forums will not count towards your postcount.

Side question, what's up with the "xnamex" or "xXnameXx" thing? Is it just stylistic or does it connote something? I've been seeing it for about twenty years now and I just now realized that I don't get it.

I'll tell you what it was. It was me creating a username for my very first aol account and I've just always gone by it since online. It really has no significance and frankly is a little silly. I'm just used to it.

as someone who had their username like that for a long time, I don't really get it either. It was just suggested to me by Youtube when all the usernames I tried using for my YT account in 6th grade were unavailable. I think it's just a way of getting a username even if it's already taken. '1994' already taken? Try 'xx1994xx'
