View Full Version : Our aims on the road to victory

Stop Privatisation We must stop the continuing privatisation of our public services such as the Underground and Air Traffic Control. Our railways are examples of what private companies can do to services. These companies have jeopardised people’s safety and quality of service for profit. How can governments allow corporations to control our services. Services are for the people, and these companies always put profit before people.

Raise Minimum Wage Our current minimum wage is just over half of the European decency threshold wage. There is no minimum wage for workers aged under 18 and many are exploited.

Abolish Monarchy The Royals are just living off the tax payers money. It is time to abolish the Monarchy and reclaim the £60 Million that taxpayers have to pay to keep the Monarchy living in their lavish lifestyle.

Defend Asylum Seekers Protect asylum seekers from racist attacks and abuse. Scrap the anti-immigration laws.

Save the Environment We need to stop the corporations in their crusade for resource exploitation. We need tough action on pollution.

Fully Funded Comprehensive Education Stop privatisation in our schools. Tell the fat cats that education isn’t up for sale. We can not risk our children’s learning in the hands of profit hungry companies. Abolish private and select schooling.

End Discrimination End all discrimination, either sexism, racism or homophobia. All people should be treat as equals.

Scrap Tuition Fees Education should be free for all. Scrap top-up fees. Higher education should be open to all wishing to learn.

Plz feel free to add anymore aims, after which i will edit this first post to incorporate all socialist aims.

Kamo can't vote, he's only 16.

And yes we should raise taxes. Brits have the mentality that they want something but won't pay for it and don't realise that voting for labour who say they'll give you this and this and this without raising taxes is the worst thing you can do.

the lib dems in the last election said they would raise tax by 1p for every pound, and spend it on education and health. they were also going to raise taxes for the people who earned more than £100k per year. they seem better than most other parties

I still believe that we should support Labour, however right they have moved, and hope that when they win the next election, they will begin moving left again, for a socialist uk.

You know I thought the word syndicate was reserved for Monty Python movies now.

I'll be supporting the lib dems, they're way more left wing than labour.

someone did an study as to what would have happened if margaret thatcher hadn't become prime minister and can to the conclusion that Tony Blair would still be PM, but as a conservative.

I'm sure it was a very "scientific" study. What did they use? A crystal ball?

Uumm sure guest it was a serious study I'm sure.It seemed to be a bit of a joke to me but maybe you're right and they did used crystal balls(wacko).
Maybe it was a light hearted illustration of the fact there is no difference in 2 party democracy.

because the state sells all services, it looses its last power.
soon, it will be totally controlled by the economy.
totally dependent and weak.

yes, a going back (again) two great revolutionaries
Jesus: "the servant is the greatest"
Che: "give government the control in service and limit private entities whose best interest is for the people, not profit"

i believe it can be achieved, it must for the good of all men. :)

yah but freedom man the state is responsible for the happiness of the people, no? thats why there are non-profit organizations who operate soley on government grants. can't these organizations be soley responsible for these services and paid by the state (taxes) so that the services are free? it seems the problems (once again lie in the way the laws are written and interpreted).

a secnario:

the government privatisize electricity.

then the ppl who own the electricity want something they dont get. so they descide to switch the electricty off.
they goverment will say, he you mustnt do that, that is against our deal.
then the government remarks that the telephone doesnt work. the will get that they have a huge problem.
till they are able to do something and get the control over the electricity back. it will take weeks, probably some month. in this time, the country is ruined.
