its sad but,
at the same time war has accellerated technology for good aswell as bad.

the requirement for mobile surgery equipmeant on the battle field has enabled its use at home and has improoved the effectiveness of paramedics and ambulances too.

i feel that that article is exceedingly one sided in a plea to gain support for the peace campaign more than how much it really affects medicine. not that i am against that of course
