Idea / Physical "thing"
Conceptus / Res
Mind / Body
I started this topic on reveleft a while back... I reproduce it here for Rosa (whose reputation has been lauded to me) and anyone else who may be interested. I was eventually banned from revleft, for reasons I don't quite understand.... but they did delete two of my postings there.... they were Court motions (legitimate) that I had filed.... I despise censorship....so I damned revleft to Hell (as an agnostic)....
Anyway.... here's my take on "epistemology"... below....

Hegel (and Marx)... Idealists
Aristotle et al... Realists
Kant-Husserl-Brentano-Heidegger,et al... Phenomenologists
William of Ockham... the best Nominalist I can think of....

Idealism = Subjective Concept / Subjective Reference
Realism = Objective Concept / Objective Reference
Nominalism = Subjective Concept / Objective Reference
Phenomenology = Objective Concept / Subjective Reference

Put them in Aristotle's "logical square" you get something like this....

Idealism.........................Realism
Conceptus / Res.............Conceptus / Res
Subjective / Subjective....Objective / Objective

(Aristotle square in middle)

Subjective / Objective......Objective / Subjective
Conceptus / Res..............Conceptus / Res
Nominalism......................Phenomenology
