Greetings everyone, obviously new member here however I would like to add that I am a recent convert.

I tend to consider myself more on the lines of Anti-Revisionist Communism than any other particular revolutionary ideology and a supporter of the general concept behind a sort of state socialism although I feel that the competency of many revolutionary Communist states has been sorely lacking (The Kim family of the DPRK being a prime example).

Keep in mind that I am still fairly new the all the fine details of revolutionary politics and economics however I am pretty well learned on the basics and I have come here to fine tune my understanding and hopefully contribute as well.

See you all on the forums.

Welcome :)

If you have political questions, you can ask them in the Learning forum. That's why it's there after all!

If you have questions about your account, don't hesitate to send me a PM or ask here.

What attracted you to 'antirevisionist' politics?

To be entirely honest Q, at first this attraction was merely an aesthetic one however as I got older and actually spent time reading and studying I came to identify with the various strands of Communism in different shades and capacities. With anti-revisionism specifically I use that term to refer merely to my general opposition to Trotsky (most specifically his idea that a Socialist revolution was possible without having had a Capitalist one first and/or a highly developed economy and industry).

I also tend to simply identify with a more statist approach to implementing the "socialist" government in any given country as a prerequisite to establishing Communism proper (hence I have an issue flat out condemning figures such as Stalin and Kim Il Sung even though, and with the Kim family in particular, I find their inability to provide for the people to be appalling).

Again keep in mind that I am not entirely well-read on the more specific points of Communist theory and am well schooled mostly in the basics. Hence I figured I would come here to learn.

I would also like to add that I am a firm believer in the idea of "Socialism In One Country".
