Quite a while ago the dude over at MLM Mayhem made a post (http://moufawad-paul.blogspot.ca/2013/08/anti-communist-memorial-forbids-memory.html) about this

mostly a rant about capitalism vs communism who killed more etc. but apparently Jason Kenney is a big supporter of the memorial. regarding the memorial:
this memorial is meant to forbid historical memory by replacing it with a simulacrum of truth,
