Any information or opinions on the Revolutionära Fronten (Revolutionary Front) in Sweden?

I watched an eleven minute Vice documentary titled "The Rise of the Militant Left in Sweden" , I think. Regardless of the documentary's title, the journalist went to a far-right rally to see the left and right clash. He then talked about the Revolutionary Front, and finally met a few members.

As my curiosity piqued, I searched for their website, which has nothing more than a manifesto-like statement in Swedish about their political positions, what the ruling class is attempting, etc., so again my question is: is there any information or opinions from knowledgable people, hopefully people from Sweden, about this group?

I know quite a lot, being a Swede. Hard to give generalized information - any specific questions you got I can probably at least try to answer.

The Vice documentary has gotten a lot of hate on certain Swedish socialist forums from what I can see, as has RF's participation in it. It portrays RF as little more than common thugs, angles everything in favour of the liberal stance, and basically boils to the theory of "lika goda kålsupare, that there's only a difference in appearance between Fascism and anti-Fascism.

Edit: They used to have quite a lot on their website, but faced some problems with it a while ago. They're more active on Facebook, as far as publishing statements go.

I think the user Hrafn ^ and Aty can tell you a lot more about them but this is what i know about their politics, officially their a broad umbrella group where all socialists fighting for the emancipation and self-defense of the working are welkom, as such their members seem to range from anarcho-syndicalists with a double membership in the SUF to orthodox-leninists but at least organizationally (if not ideologically) they are very close to and draw a lot of inspiration from the British RedAction group (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_Action) that has a distinctive "workerist" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Workerism) outlook inspired on italian workerist autonomism (not to be confused with the related but different more common german/dutch squat movement autonomism)

I was under the impression that the longest time someone can be imprisoned in Sweden is 20 years?

I mean all who have gone to prison so far, togheter it is over 20 years of prison, the longest individual sentence so far being 6,5 years.
And still some more waiting for trial, including one more being charged for attempted murder.

Just watched the documentary. It does indeed reflect centrist views but you can't exactly expect Vice to come out as revolutionary leftists :laugh:. That being said, it was pretty one-sided.

The host makes some pretty strange statements as well. For example, he says it's rare for left-wing radicals to be willing to give interviews:confused:. Most left-wing 'extremists' in my country are more than willing to give interviews, I can tell you that much:laugh:. Which makes me wonder about the nature of their movement. They strike me as anarchist but their rethoric doesn't seem to fit the bill.

Interviews are rarely given, and rightfully so. The bourgeois media will always do reports on their own terms, as in this case.

Great news today, a socialist who have been jailed for 3 months pending trial was released today! They tried at first to have him tried for attempted murder against a nazi, so he was on the run for some weeks but got arrested in Denmark.

But today the court ruled it as self defence!

"The truth will prevail", released when he was on the run, the truth did prevail. But if his case was judged as self defence then Joel who was sentenced to 6,5 years also should be freed because of self defence. The justice system is really fucked up right now, the nazis only got between 6-8 months. And all the nazis that were arrested when stabbing 4 socialists in Malmö have been released and one of them is still on the run. Socialists they can lock up how ever they want, nazis go free.
