[Insert angry debate about whose people are the true indigenous one]

I suppose English is my second language, in addition to Swedish? I fully understand Norwegian, the tongue of my ancestors, but I sadly can't speak a word - it's just too similar for me to stomach it.

Fluent in only English. Varying dialects including "Yuppie", "Formal enough for my english classes", "De-Escalating the Crazy Guy on the Bus", "Punk", and "Hood", with the latter three (especially "punk" and "hood") having much crossover between their vocabulary and body-language in my area.
Various degrees of competency ... French and Spanish ... less competent over the years

my native language is bosnian/serbian/croatian (whatever, it's all the same language), but having grown up in Germany, my German has become better than my actual native language. I still speak it fluently and read newspapers, watch movies etc. in order not to forget it. I started learning English at age 10 and Spanish at age 16 and I'd say I'm kinda fluent in both, although English works a lot better. Let's say I'm very advanced in Spanish. And my French is kinda okay, I can read Camus, so that's enough for me, I have no ambitions to improve it.

I'm a monoglot at the moment, as I can only speak English. I know some French, but I can read it far better than I can speak it, as I can't hold more than a very basic conversation in the language. I've been trying to learn Norwegian, and I know quite a few words, but as with French, I can read the language better than I can speak it.

My native language is English, and I am also fluent in Japanese. My wife is Japanese and doesn't speak English, so Japanese is the only language used around the house.

I speak French, a little German and understand some Spanish. Could do with more practice really but I haven't had time to do any.

Wait, I can speak British too: "Jolly good mate! That was a speedy wicket of cricket. Let's go have some tea and crumpets to celebrate!", "Let's go down to the pub, and have an ale with some fish and chips.", "Oh bloody 'ell, it seems I've gone and wet meself!", and "Fucking bollocks!", or "Fucking wanker!".

A bit of German. If I had people to speak to in person, I would probably become much better.

I can read Cyrillic decently and took some Spanish in school.

I spend a lot of time working with Spanish, translating political articles from Latin America into English, and that has gotten easier over time. I really love Spanish, and I live where nearly half the TV stations are Spanish-language (though, I am guessing, that could be any one of many metropolitan areas, even some in the northern US). At some point, I bet, there may be legal recognition of Spanish as the second language of the US.
