Here i wanna post a pamphlet that gives a good idea as to what socialist should do when they in their daily life stumbles upon this phenomenon called the Illuminati.

I think we have all tried to engage in a discussion with someone illiterate* about this Illuminati and its hard to have any positive discussion about it because its mostly all based on fantasies.

I know fuck all about that conspiracy theory, except that it's really popular among Ron Paul supporters for some reason. I also heard that that involves some contrived plot of world domination by lizards who manage to avoid detection while controlling some of the world's major political institutions.

Yeah you know reptiles are cold blooded so i heard that in order to disguise their true nature they have to dress up in a suit which has an inbuilt heat system. It should be driven by an unearthed form of energy which the reptiles have not yet truly understood, but when they will have full control of that new energy they will take the next step of their plan. Thats why they build the CERN project

Illuminati-esque conspiracy theories are an interesting phenomena, and while very few people seriously refer to it by name, the shifting of blame from capitalism to individuals who have corrupted/secretly control the system (see: liberals who focus on 'immoral bankers' or the Bilderberg meetings, usually on very shady pseudo-anti-Semitic grounds, while refusing to see how capitalism creates those things) rather than the economic base itself. While you're unlikely to encounter someone who seriously believes in the Illuminati in the context of an important debate, the general principle and abolishing conspiracy theories is pretty important in getting people to class consciousness.

unfortunately, this is very useful. I know a lot of people who are cynical towards the current state of things, but mystify it with the Illuminati and Rothschild bs. Also think it's really weird how much of a hold a conspiracy theory rooted in aristocratic anti-Semitism and anti-Enlightenment sentiment has on hip-hop culture

abolishing conspiracy theories is pretty important in getting people to class consciousness.

Seriously, I'm not so sure conspiracy theories can be eradicated under the current state of things. At least, it couldn't be done as a prerequisite to building class consciousness (i.e. we can't abolish conspiracy theories and then build class consciousness), but rather as class consciousness is built conspiracy theories will start to unravel. Sorry if that seemed like semantics...I just don't see conspiracy theories being "abolished" before workers develop class consciousness. Some smaller ones may even linger on in small circles post-revolution.

No you're right, my original post was slightly crudely put. Conspiracy theories in general won't go until they're essentially obsolete - and that'll happen through the building of class consciousness in general and then eventually post-revolution there will be no need for conspiracy theories (excluding reactionary ones that'll form around pro-capitalist groups)

A better line would be to 'combat' conspiracy theories, if someone seems to be more focused on the fact that the bourgeoisie meets in a secret room once in a while instead of the fact that they're the bourgeoisie, then try and educate them on that, etc etc.
