"Politically incorrect"
"Liberty"

Those two should really give it away that this is either totally fake or conservative tripe.

And yes, I can believe it is. US conservatives are silly.

I thought it was trolling at first but then I realized it was an actual book. Which got me thinking: is the author trolling? I mean it would be a pretty smart way to make money, there's a huge number of people willing to buy these books, and it contains no citations or well thought out ideas. Literally all you would have to do is come up with the most absurd claims and write anything down and tons of people buy it.

"Exists throughout US economy"

My favorite is the "ultra-nationalist and militarist"

Everytime I go to Barnes & Noble, I see conspiracy garbage written by conservatives lining the shelves. It's really weird. For as much crap as they put out, they must be making quite a bit of moolah off of it. It's disgusting what they write this tripe purely to sell to gullible people.

Yes, this is indeed a real book. It's part of the P.I.G. (Politically Incorrect Guides) series published by Regnery Publishing, who also publish books by other conservative figures like Dinesh D'Souza, Oliver North and Michelle Malkin.

This type of drivel is becoming increasingly common in American bookstores. The 'Current Affairs' and 'History' sections are absolutely putrid with this drek. Even the 'Nature' sections are slowly being populated with anti-environmentalist bullshit.

Brazilian bookstores are increasingly becoming the same.

I saw this book at a local mall around February. If you look on the inside of the cover, he has many other books just like this about other issues. One of which is about the American Civil War and it has, on the cover, the words "Why the South will rise again." That speaks for itself in regards to the quality of any of his books.

First :hammersickle:: Not with the vague definition of socialism they use!
Second :hammersickle:: Oh Yeah! Like the reactionary author cares about the environment!
Third :hammersickle:: If that's so, then that's true for every massive system.
Fourth :hammersickle:: JAJAJA! How so? Even then, it's still a hell of a lot better than this!
Fifth :hammersickle:: Yeah, I wish!

I just... You can't... Why would...

Now, I'm not one for burning books normally, but torch this as quickly as possible.

They have this at my local library :(. Apparently politically incorrect means nothing more than "in line with right-wing talking points".

For a second since it said the politically incorrect guide to socialism that it might actually present socialism positively. Reality set it and I considered the ideological distortions. Words have truly changed meanings completely, and in some cases have taken on opposite meanings. There is nothing more politically correct than to portray socialism in a negative light given the current establishment and elite. That is a textbook case of political correctness.

"so remember Children, Socialism never works and only rich people know how to run an economy because they're the job creators and poor people are benefit scroungers. And only rich people will keep you free because poor people are too ignorant, lazy, selfish and irrational to build a free society. Human nature stops them from being smart, powerful, handsome and happy like the rich old white men who govern our country. And that Black, Kenyan, Muslim, Socialist tyrant is just an aberration in an otherwise harmonious and natural moral order.

And rich people will live happily ever after.

The end."

That book sucks, here's a true book on socialism:

http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc207/MrdieII/RedCocaine.jpg

Actual book quotes:

"Red Cocaine confirms that Lavrentii Beria's determination that narcotics should be deployed in the interests of the Revolution, has been consummated since his liquidation at the hands of his satanic masters."

"When Nikita Khrushchev was reported to have informed the West that 'we will bury you', he was misquoted. What Khrushchev actually said was: 'we will be present at your funeral'. And, as anyone who has lost a family member, relative or loved one knows at first-hand, there have been many funerals since the drugs offensive began."

The problem is that something like half of RevLeft actually believes stuff like this.
