Aldous Huxley's Brave New World is my all-time favourite novel and was the book that first opened my eyes to the horrors of capitalism and what the world could become under our current system. I feel like we're becoming more and more like passive World State citizens under the illusion of freedom, drugged up by pop culture and triviality and conditioned to think and act a certain way. I'm interested to see what other socialists think. Are you a leftist to prevent this kind of world from being a reality? Did this book influence your opinions? Did you even enjoy it?

'Brave New World' is problematic because it's a satirization of enlightenment-revolutionary ways of thinking -- it's borderline-propaganda.
