I just found out that there is actually a genre called Red & Anarchist Black Metal, and was blessed with hearing sorgsvart on youtube. i remember i basically stopped listening to bm because of all the nazi white power bullshit connected to it. im inclined to change my mind.

Iskra are really fine, and well worth seeing live as well (though when they played here the crowd of assorted crusties and punks was unusually passive, so it kinda reflected also on their performance; but still a good show). I like their explosive mix of crust and BM.

One other band well worth checking out is Panopticon:

I don't know how good the lyrics are but Profecium's 'Socialismo Satanico' demo is a nice piece of black metal. A lot of this RABM tends to be very dissonant and structureless (in contrast to the very straight forward, traditional nsbm bands I guess) but this demo's good and melodic.

Panopticon is by far the best band you can find from this category.
I really love Wolvhammer's "The Obsidian Plains." It's leftist working-class black metal but definitely is influenced by doom, it's great.

Revleft also had it's very own Dimmu Bordiga years ago. A really rough demo is on youtube. Good times.

I believe Cascadian black metal (http://www.last.fm/tag/cascadian%20black%20metal) would interest you.

I used to blog about such music long, long ago...
