Maybe it's because im new to this message board or something but do any of you actually knowledgeable people find it quite annoying that people as questions that just require research? There are countless people that are a part of this chat room and they seem to support "Che" 100% when the don't know anything about him. Don't get the wrong opinion about me writing this because I too support "Che". I just don't think that it's right to support something that you know nothing of and I have read a lot of posts saying needless stuff and asking needless questions. Because if these people truely knew about "Che" then they would know that he was not the type of person to support something that he knew very little about. So if anyone has anything to say here then feel free to put it all.

I get what you're saying. There are alot of people who come here because they've seen his face on some kind of merchandise and they ask questions that be could answered by reading a 1 page bio of the man.
Oh well.

yea i guess some people don't even know who he is like what Urban Rubble said and they just joined to try to be difefrent when they don't know anything about him angry

What is the purpose of being a member here if you have no idea of what Che did in his lifetime or can't talk about what he beleived in?

Right, but if they learn from it and go on to become contributing members of the global movement... who cares?
Doesn't matter how they learn it. Some of us did it through "home schooling", borrowing books form the public library and readingt hem at home on our free time. Others came here, to a "university of leftism". That's how I see this place. It is our duty to answer those questions, no matter how repetitive.

CyM has a point here, i don't find these questions that annoying, but if a lot of you get frustrated by them or something maybe a sollution would be to put a sticky with ché bio's, the documents about his death, etc.

If you have a question about something, you should ask it. Sure you could search for a book to read, but if it's a question that can have many answers and opinions, than why not ask a group of people what they all think and how they've come to that conclusion?
If you have a question, ask it, that's what I do, that's what anyone should do.

I think there are a lot of idiots who just think that being communist is to be 'different'. But there are a good amount (I think) who aren't part of this category.

I came here a little ignorant on Che. But after reading up on him thru the posts here, and thru personal internet research, I have found out alot more then I knew my first day here. I guess I was one of those ignorant people that you describe. But everyone learns a different way, and if asking a question like 'Where was Che born?' help them determine there political stance, then it's all good right?

Many of you guys make very good points. But I read a comment by someone who said that they were writing a research paper and they wanted to know how che was considered a world revolutionary. This is the question that bothered me. He is writing a research paper when he clearly hasent done any. I do see some very good questions though. I am not saying that people need to be more selective when they are asking questions. I would be more then happy to answer any question that someone wants to ask just as long as it can't be answered by reading the bio in the main site.

Alot of people, including myself, simply cannot read long things. A 80 page book for me takes about 2 weeks of 1 hour a day of reading. I get soo bored, lose my place and be forced to re-read parts of the book to remember it. I have trouble remembering things so I have to take it in small doses. Except for cars. I can spend days on end doing that stuff haha. But yah, not the point, point is alot of people would rather ask a question then to actually read. That's why a question like 'Why is he a revolutionary?' are asked.
DeadMan.
PS: Yes, I am in grade 12, and yes I can read properly, I simply can't pay enough attention when I'm reading.

Hey I totally know how that is and most books I read take a long time for me to read too but no need to argue about this subject for it is of no matter so im going to say that we go ahead and stop talking about this when we can just go ahead and answer the questions that are being asked.

just remember we were all new to the world of communism at one time so the least we can do is not act elitist and answer these peoples questions and make them feel welcome, people helped me out here and still do and I thankful for it.

I think the bio is a great idea as well. Any one up for writing it? :)
The only questions that irratate me, are when they start off, "I have this paper to write for class. Who was Che? Or I'mwriting this paper, got any pics of Che?" You get my drift........

I agree with you, Che y Marijuana.
Maybe, there are a lot of people who do not know many things about Che but still admire him. But that does not make them unworthy to be here. It's a good thing that more and more people are realising how the system of the right wing sucks and maybe knowing a little thing about Che helped them see that. And maybe, knowing more about Che will make them a "real communist". Aren't you glad that there are more and more of our kind emerging? We can start an army with these number. Let us just help whoever needs help. Education is for free in this University of Leftism.
I for one do not know everything about Che but I can say that I know enough about him to consider him as my hero.

Hey, I'm gonna ask this here. Does anyone know where I can get a free copy from the internet of the communist manifesto. I know, I should buy it, but I'm broke and I'm banned from the public library.

You're banned from a library? What did you do to deserve such harsh treatment, burn the place down? Heh heh. I'm not sure about an online version unfortunately...
A 80 page book for me takes about 2 weeks of 1 hour a day of reading.
I love reading. I read for pleasure and once read half of a 700 page novel in a night! (But I regretted it in the morning, DAMN my eyes were screwed up!)

No man, only 350!! I said half a book; any more than that would have been silly...

Lol  reason enough I suppose!! It is my opinion that librarians are fascist scumbags though. I hate them with a passion!! The other day I wanted to get a book out and was prevented from doing so because they were "closing in 10 minutes and we've stopped loaning books for the day". Grrrrr! Damn librarians!!

Because textbooks, news, and all other sorts of media have mislead them. We try our best not to do so. I mean, sure we can all know what Chomsky knows if we did reaserch, but what a great thing of him to have writeen all the books!
Imagine all the post wed get if people didnt ask questions?

I got a funny story about the manifesto
last christmas, christmas 02, my folks retired and I was left all alone for christmas. even worse was the fact that I had to work. not even the radio had any live announcers so I decided to make a little christmas album. you know, to get in the christmas spirit.
so I popped in a blank cassette and read the communist manifesto aloud. not that I'd ever listen to it or anything. just to, I dunno, make a political statement of some kind. it only took around sixty minutes to read like that.
see, the christmas of 2001 I made a musical album and it was the sound of my heart being belted into about ninty minutes of music, to no avail and into a horrible and tragic waste. I had no problem making my 2002 christmas album as loveless and terrible as my 2001 album was horrible and tragic.
2003 I made FIVE albums of music. plus a Holiday Season album about two weeks before. all excellent material. excpet for my second of five which is me moaning into the tape recorder because I hadn't picked up a guitar since 2001 and my callouses had disappeared and I hurt my fingers when I made the first album. by album four of five the pain had gone away. album three isn't much better than two. I think five was about as good as number one.
and I just recorded two EPS this week, but because I live in a building with no sound proofing, I had to keep it down so as not to embarass myself or anybody else with my playing. the sound is interesting considering I am using ONLY downstrokes on my instruments and am singing in as quiet of a voice as I have.
but the 2002 christmas tape is scheduled to be taped over. my idea is to like play a song, let the tape run for like thirty seconds ( with me reciting the communist manifesto ) and then do another song.
what do you think?

lol last time i went to the public library i took out a bunch of books on communism, the fall of communism, military and other stuff (part of it was for personal study, part of it was for a script i was writing at the time) anyway, i kept them about...erm...2 and a half months late. the late fee was upwards of 45 bucks. when they asked me to pay up, i called them a bunch of cappie bastards and left. now i use my brother's library card :D
