Bolshevik Sickle just fucking called me on facebook, he's seriously creeping me out. This thread has no serious purpose, other than to say to people to be careful on the internet...

Revleft should not be confused with facebook, let alone a personal account.

Yeah. A good tip for internet privacy is don't drunkenly add questionable people to facebook (as I did).

I wouldn't use a facebook for specifically left/radical stuff but I agree that a separate facebook page just for maybe internet acquaintances is a good idea.

Which is an excellent idea and I'll create a separate fb page,

I don't have my real name on facebook and I usually only add people that I feel I trust (as much as you can trust an online acquaintance).

just don't add random people onto facebook...

And don't post overt shit on facebook. Happy to debate a few politics things here and there on facebook, single issue shit, but literally there is no point in starting revolutionary things on facebook walls and news feeds.

Was talking to a Wobbly a few days ago who said that employers blacklist people who are openly revolutionary on their Facebook.

The social media in general are a great way for people to incriminate themselves. It's the that old Soviet joke about people self-arresting themselves in a communist society - people are self-monitoring themselves. I never understood the appeal, to be honest, and I particularly don't see the point of posting random r-r-revolutionary material on Facebook.

Also, I think anyone who considers getting a hashtag to trend activism should be fed to the cats.

Well, a good way to avoid getting check on by your potential boss is using a DIFFERENT email than your other social accounts, particularly different than the one you apply with.

Two: modify your name.

Three: maybe not a picture of you

Four: make it private.

So I decided to make a facebook.

I should add people from here, and would be grateful if any of you be so kind as to accept the request.
