So, it seems there's no thread on the playoffs this year. Weird if you ask me, are there no bball afficionados here?

Anyway, I'm loving the hell out of it. I can't even remember such an exciting first round.

The biggest disappointment is Indiana definitely, but as postseason came closer and closer, they continually dipped in their game so I guess it wasn't that big of a surprise. It's even more surprising to see Atlanta doing the exact same thing and Pacers don't really have an answer (loved it when George defended Teague haha).

The series I try to actively follow are Portland/Houston and Toronto/Brooklyn. The former is a complete blast, and I hope Blazers make it through.

Thoughts?

Yeah, not so much interest in this, probably on later rounds we will have some interest. But indeed, a great first round, probably the greatest ever concerning competition.First time ever to have so many game 7's in playoffs.

I am disapointed from indiana and paul george especially, the guy seemed like one of those playoff loosers of history so far...They managed to qualify at the end of the day though.Expect more from durant as well!!

Both my teams (Celtics and Sixers) are not competing so i am not really supporting anyone in particular but like a couple of teams.

Seems interesting so far, we shall see how it goes.

Yeah the 2014 NBA playoffs has been great so far! There's been quite a few 7 game series that have gone down to the wire in this first round!

Sad to see the Warriors get downed by the Clippers, and the same goes for the rockets losing to Portland :( But I'm also impressed with the fight the Grizzlies and the Mavericks have given in the 1st round.

My favorite basketball team is the Milwaukee Bucks, but since they aren't in the playoffs this year and since I like to root for underdogs, I'll throw my support behind the Washington Wizards this year. Hopefully they can beat the disappointing Pacers and challenge the Heat in the Eastern Semi-finals. That being said, realistically the Heat are probably going to win the East, and I don't know if there's a team in the West that can consistent stop them in the championship showdown...

My Clippers are in it to win the west. As much as I like the Warriors and Bay Area teams. I'm happy the Clippers won the series. The Nets beating the Raptors was good, and it's more interesting with the Pacers moving on. While the Heat were gonna beat the Bobcats regardless. I'm hoping for a Heat-Clippers NBA Finals, with the Clippers winning in 6 or 7. None of these teams are as good as the old Bad Boys Pistons or the 90's Bulls though. I like LeBron James, but he's no Michael Jordan, and never will be. I'm glad Bill Russell put him in his place with that NBA Mt. Rushmore bullshit.

Oh I was ecstatic when Damien hit that buzzer beating 3

But really...that play alone shows how Houston 1) didn't at all deserve to advance and 2) the simple fact they're obviously not ready to do so in the ultra competitive West

Some commentators said how tough Lillard's show was. Well, the thing is - leave a guy like him or Stephen Curry wide open and see what you get (and he was indeed wide open on that shot). The last thing you hear is "TeamX (other than yours) advances OH MY GOD OH MY GOD" and the thing before that is *swoosh*.

So, whoever fucked up, was it Parsons or McHale himself, no you can't do this kind of playoffs.

Speaking of Steph, yeah I'm sorry GSW was eliminated as well. Need to up their ante around the rim really, I'd say, for them to be a west finals contender (though the game before in Oakland they rebounded offensively in an epic manner).

My Clippers are in it to win the west.Ain't got chance in hell :p

I'm really convinced that whoever wins the Portland-San Antonio series is advancing all the way. Mark my words

By the way, the sheer magic of Deron Williams staying in the game after outright tackling Lowry (I think) in Toronto...yeah that was amazing as well. Some other calls as well.

I hate the west coast with the time difference...seems like I'm gonna be getting up Tuesday/Wednesday at 5 AM to watch muh Blazers

I really want the Pacers to sweep the Wizards cause the Heat will only this way get some competition before the finals I believe. But they trail by 15 by now...

1. Yeah it's sad. I'd put more of the blame on McHale, but I had high hopes for the Rockets this year, with my main man Jeremy Lin

2. Golden State is so fun to watch. One minute it raining threes and all is well, and the next minute they're making silly costly mistakes that hinder their ability to close games out.

3. That is a bold prediction. I can see the Spurs beating the Thunder, but Portland? I haven't been following Portland too much this year, how do you think they can beat the Thunder?

No Sweep tonight baby! 102-96! GO WIZARDS!

All it takes to make this playoffs the biggest and most awesome is pacers knocking out wizards in 6-7 games and THEN giving it to the heat and advancing so...

i guess i'm down to whoever wins between the pacers and the wizards, and probably the pacers since they'd have a better chance against the heat. i'm just happy the nets made it as far as they did.

last few years i thought it would be fair for thunders and durant to get a title, this year hell no, i just dont want them to get it.It was unfair for the clippers and while i may still not have a team who i support, i do have now a team that i do NOT support!

My Hawks did a great job this year, they deserved it more to advance than Indy. Gosh.. do I hate the Pacers (ignorant team  )

Good luck to San Antonio Spurs 2014 NBA Play-off Finals victory over Miami Heat. 4-1 end results speaks for itself, the Spurs played supreme and really great to watch. They made-up for last year's narrow defeat against the same adversary.
They might need some fresh blood though, as for the Miami star Lebron "King" James, he's contract with the franchise expired, and we might be in for some surprise if he is decided to change his teammates. In couple of days, but surely befor mid-July King James will clear the mashup around his departure from the Miami Heat . Let's see
Good luck once again!
