View Full Version : Users messing up the chatango experience

We have been experiencing lots of problems with the Chatango experience. This is due to certain users who will remain unnamed coming in and posting sexist, and political trolling messages. Therefore those of us that use Chatango have decided to go here.

https://kiwiirc.com/client

Click on the Rizon server then type a nick (it's a username, you can type nearly anything, but no spaces) and then type in #revleft where it says channel.

Please contact me if you have any problems getting onto chat.

BTW, Q (and all the mods), you are welcome to come, and we will gladly give you ops.

It's a shame but I have already banned someone from the channel. Whomever that was it was not personal. It is precisely because of disruptive users that we chose to move to IRC.

Rizon's IRC server allows SSL connections. Please use a client that supports SSL, enable it, and enable self-signed certificates. If you need help doing this you can PM me. I'll be happy to offer whatever help I can in configuring your IRC client to do this. Sadly the web client listed does not offer SSL. I recommend using Hexchat. I believe mIRC and irssi also support SSL.

Chatango is that red box at the bottom with the chat bubble on Revleft. You are always welcome bud. Look forward to seeing you!

The Rizon IRC network supports vhosts and we strongly recommend that you use one. It is free, hides potentially identifying information, and is easy to do. Just type the following command in chat.

/msg HostServ REQUEST [vhost.name]

Replace the term [vhost.name] with a name of your choosing. Like your.mommas.house or something. You must be registered to have a vhost as well.
