I was a little surprised to see a Euro Election broadcast for the BNP advertised on BBC 1 last night. Was a lil more surprised / amused / annoyed when I actually watched it.
Anyone else catch this pathetic piece of poorly made propaganda? Thoughts on how effective it might be?
Not able to post link as at work, apologies.

That's straight-up dystopian. Not what they're portraying, but just the fact that this video exists

What was the deal with those emperor penguins trying to get into Britain?

I was not surprised to see it on BBC as television networks in the UK have obligations to broadcast party political broadcasts for parties standing in a certain number of seats. I wish I could say it was poorly made propaganda, but the visual was not poorly made propaganda although the audio was. I assume the emperor penguins are supposed to represent hijab-wearing persons.

I feel delicate now i've watched that. It's not even so bad it's funny, it's just out and out disturbing. Anyone who was flirting with bigotry but has now decided to commit after watching that needs tender love and medication.

Why aren't the SPGB fielding enough candidates for a party political broadcast?

No, they began with the opening of the song, and then cut to a man in front of a screen saying that the BBC had censored it, then they showed the clips of people voicing support for the BNP and encouraged people to visit their website. Also they claimed that Nick Griffin single handedly stopped us from going to war with Syria.
Why aren't the SPGB fielding enough candidates for a party political broadcast? They aren't big enough. They need to run full lists of candidates in all electoral regions to be eligible for a broadcast on the BBC.

The party political broadcasts for the SPGB in the Euro-elections will be broadcast as follows
ITV 1 (Wales) Tuesday 6 May after News at Ten
BBC 1 (Wales) Monday 12 May at 22.35
BBC 2 (Wales) Monday 12 May at 23.20
I like how it opens growling at UKIP for not being racist enough. Tell them all just where to go by voting BNP...
Don't think it'll sway anyone though. It screams with pride: "WE ARE THE MIGRANT-HATING PARTY! VOTE FOR US IF YOU REALLY WANT THEM MUSLAMICS OUT."

I think you're right that it's unlikely to sway anyone. Not sure that was the point though; mostly, I think, it was to remind BNP supporters who might be thinking of switching to the UKIP that the BNP is (was once?) the proper party of jingoistic racists. I suspect the BNP is as scared of the UKIP as the Conservatives are.

Ain't got a good producer, cameraman, and so on.

No, they just don't have the money or people to put up full lists of candidates in all the seats.
Having said that they'd need 78 people (I think) so they should be able to fill the lists. But I doubt they could pay for them to stand.

In another thread the video showed a report on a BNP rally. What made me laugh was the excuse many of them had of why they joined. Something along the lines of "..well no one else is doing anything about all the problems of this country so I thought I'd do something".????
Hey dummy, its your island. What took you so long to get off your ass and make the wrong decision?
