Austin Psych Fest

Anyone ever gone to this? The line-ups (http://www.austinpsychfest.com/2014-festival/apf-2014-lineup/) tend to be 1/2 bands I love and 1/2 bands I really am not interested in (I like generally Psych with a more or less punk/garage attitude but really don't like jam-bands). I don't normally go to festivals (let alone ones in other states), so I was wondering if anyone has gone, what they thought of it, and what the hippie content of the audience was:lol:

Night Beats/Brian Jonestown Massacre/Thee Oh Sees/Shannon and the Clams/War on Drugs/Black Angels etc!!!

Panda Bear... um not so much.

I don't know who the Higgins Waterproof Black Magic Band are, but I like their endoresement of my screen-name.

Also, the two bands with "Golden Dawn" in their name need to reconsider that choice in light of developments in world politics.

I really want to go to it some day. That and Roadburn in Holland.

And Jimmie, Kadavar is playing in the Bay on the 9th if you're into them.
