Hi
First of all,i hope this is the right forum for my question
I want to ask you: Am i the only one (as a non-native english speaking guy) who thinks the term "Human Resources" or "Human Resources Office" in Companies sounds discriminating as f*** for the workers there? I know this might be a dumb question, but the word resources describes in my opinion something which gets used up and/or exploited (especially if we think about the overexploitation of our natural resources today).

And if people are aware of that, why doesn't anyone complain about such a thing? In times of political correctness, were people get offended so easy by absurd words or phrases which are referred to as discriminating, no one gives a shit about the case that i described above?

If this question sounds totally stupid to you, i'm sorry :) But as a german, this always kind of bothered me.

Greetings, Naroc

It's not discriminating; it's telling workers "hey you miserable shits you're variable capital".
And it's true.

Now I wouldn't mind shooting the labor psychology folks who are behind the job application tests and interviews but somehow I feel like that's another level of "I'm bothered by".

It's not discrimination; it's class domination and exploitation.

But yeah if I had the chance I'd hang em all to be sure.

I can't see very much other solutions either

I can't see very much other solutions either :grin:Notice the subtle distinction I made between shooting them dead and hanging.

Gun and bullet production has environmental cost.

Rope on the other hand...

One of my former friends in last of my jobs, was saying about her university studies and in one of lectures were often used a term 'HR'. And the students called a lecture 'slavery'.

And I think it was called very adequately...
