So a few months ago I visited the Karl Marx Haus in Trier, Germany. It was a great experience for me. The museum focused a lot on the person Karl Marx and his family but provided a lot stuff about socialism too. The house was not very big but there was a lot of information and interesting things too see (they had things like Marx' watch). At the end there was this little shop with a lot of nice books and other things.
I liked it very much and was interested if anyone else visited the Haus and what you thought of it. I would like to hear from you.
ps. don't know if this is the right place for this thread

Never been there, did touch the original draft of the communist manifesto once (with white gloves obviously), even though I'm more of an anarchist a pretty electrifying experience.

Yeah IISG, i knew someone who worked there, they have the only known surviving hand written draft page (written in Marx his horrible handwriting and donated by Engels to a friend).
A scan of the document and a shit load of other stuff is on their website.
If you are ever in Amsterdam you can see it for yourself its in their permanent display collection.
All the stuff in their archives you can also order copies of the stuff thats not digitalised yet, its really awesome:

When Sentinel was here I wanted to take him there and to the union museum but he only wanted to go to bars and shit, I should have taken his 4th Trotskyist nerd international membership card for that. Bad Sentinel.
