While searching around the internet this morning I found out that there are people who believe that the EU is actually the newest incarnation of the Holy Roman Empire, there are groups in Germany claiming to be the legitimate heirs of the government of pre-WWI Germany in exile, and there is a man in Germany who has declared himself king of New Germany and claims to have somewhere in the region of 3000 followers plus his own currency passports and driving license. Something in the water today maybe.

Anyway I hardly think this man is a danger to anyone besides himself, all the news story says is that he was arrested for malicious behaviour online, which leads me to believe that even if his ideology isn't a joke, he doesn't have any real political presence or activity offline. Don't fall into the somewhat common leftist trap of mistaking every quack with a copy of Mein Kampf for a serious political threat.
