Good Afternoon everyone,
My Name (Although ficticious due to circumstance) is Lewis Frommer. I have been a communist for upwards of eight years or since I graduated High School and have been a registered communist for a little over a year. I am serving the United States Navy and as confusing as that is, its more normal than not. I enjoy debating communist ideals and hearing others thoughts for and against.
Alternatively, I am human and acknowledge the presence of my xbox one (a microsoft failure), netflix, the movies and my mazda.
I am slowly coming along with my writings on communism and hope to one day in the near future have a modern manifesto written that will help clarify to the world what communism is / should have been and will be from here in.
I hope to see you all around the forum and if you'd like to talk sometime, do send me a message.

Welcome :)
If you have political questions, you can ask them in the Learning forum. That's why it's there after all!
If you have questions about your account, don't hesitate to send me a PM or ask here.
Since you're aiming to write an updated manifesto for all of us, I kinda wonder where you stand politically in the communist hemisphere? Also, what were your reasons for joining the navy?

Hey, welcome!
Just wondering, how do your peers in the Navy react to your political ideas? Any good debates with them? Are there any other actual leftists/communists in the Navy?

Welcome.
It would be interesting if you post some of your writings in the articles forum. Users here might have useful suggestions or input that will help you finish your own manifesto.

Thank you all for the warm welcome, it is much appreciated and I will take a look at the articles section perhaps later today.
Though many types of communism exist today (Marxist, Leninist, Anarchist to name a few), I try not to identify to any particular one of these groups. I feel that my views on communism have come about as a direct result of the experiences I have been graced with throughout the short duration of my life thus far. However rich or bland these experiences may appear to others, I am humbled by all of my good days as well as the not so good days. Your experiences have lead you on a similar journey to see through this hazy veil that surrounds us all. From the United States to Saudi Arabia, all over and in-between, we have become autonomous in these lives we live. Slaves to the dollar, the euro... I think that the events transpiring in this century have begun a world-wide change for what we can only hope will be the better. A change that will be more-so influenced by the common place worker than by his or her elected official.
To me, Communism has evolved beyond a political party. What exists now is a bridge from one way of living to another and communistic ideations are the medium by which people should transend to a place where we can all reap the same benefits, simplicities and luxories that life can give a person. I encourage others to embrace these views that are so dear to me. Communism is nothing short of a way of life. We hold ourselves to a set of beliefs that encourage us to be morale, to conduct ourselves in a manner which is self-humbling and beneficial for all. The communist life that we choose to lead is much like what every person on earth already believes but falls short of living by; practicing at a level larger than ourselves. What differs day to day is that we as humans easily loose scope of the grand scheme when money or possessions are on the line. We don't come together on issues that matter. We stand idle on the sidelines.
My views on the communist hemisphere are that of activism and enlightenment. I preach peace not war; However, that doesnt mean I will sit and watch. My words are my sword.
On the subject of my my naval servitude I will say this. After high school I was quick to join the work force. I advanced expeditiously and was simultaneously exposed to all of the corruption that exists in the corporate world. Though I was un-happy in my job, it was leaps and bounds better than working down in a grocery store where I had two, sometimes three separate managers watching my every move; babysitting me. My job for corporate paid better and I had a single manager that I spoke to weekly. Eventually, I realized I had fallen into a dead end job that was just short of being successful and kept me from being able to realistically support my girlfriend and I. With a number of unsuccessful attempts at the college life, I finally resigned to working for the man so that I might benefit from his offerings. I will eventually walk away with a college degree at almost no cost to me. While I do not encourage obtaining a military background, I will yeild that for now, civilization is not yet mature enough to cast aside currency. Here I sit as a pawn in the game called larger than life.
My position in the navy is low, but extremely sensitive and controversial. That being said, perhaps someday you will see a biography that holds the tales of my Navy exploits. Until that time comes, my liberty to discuss does not exist.
