Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika, who has been in power for 15 years and is confined to a wheelchair, has won a fourth term with 81.53 percent of the vote, Interior Minister Tayeb Belaiz announced on Friday.

unlike what a certain user on this forum promised, the workers party candidate didnt win the elections. also almost half of the voters staid home, shows how much they care for that spectacal.

Directly in the workers party exists twice as many full members as the votes they got so how about you use your fucking brain and actually read into situations to expand your own petty understanding of the world. 81% is a joke, I can't believe they would even try to pull this. The bourgeois opposition itself released evidence that showed the results were planned. The rallies the PT organize include millions of people in and of themselves. The largest labor unions are also part and parcel of the PT and they themselves have millIons of members. So you're useless, way to promote the neoliberal agenda so you could try to "burn" me.

I don't see why the worker's party would even participate in such elections, besides aren't they more of a loyal opposition, having denounced the protesters against Bouteflika as "trying to manipulate the social discontent, which is real, to divert it in the service of imperialism"

What are you talking about? Which protesters did the PT denounce? I guarantee if you look them up with google you'll find adequate information. If you know how to research a topic by finding independent sources you can get information but I'll get links. It isn't like the PT is new, the mainstream news doesn't talk about it though, just like how they didn't talk about the Bolsheviks, so it isn't really surprising that knowledge about them isnt widespread. Think about it like this, their leader is the first woman to run for president in the entire Arab world. The UGT which has millions of members is completely run by the PT, it is the political arm of the workers movement.

and despite knowing all this geis, you said several times that the workers party would win, this time and the last time there was an election in algeria. not to mention why did the workers party participate in the elections if they knew that the elections are rigged? why are they giving legitimacy to rigged elections wich half the voting population did boycott?

So, ignoring whether the PT "should have" won the presidential election, assuming they did, what would they have done? Obviously the only options are to initiate a revolution, which seems unlikely, or manage Algerian capitalism in some way, as the former Minister for Abandoned Properties used to do.
