From what I heard, this show already aired somewhere else. Anyways, I saw a commercial that said they where going to have a socialist "project" or whatever you want to call it. This whole show seems concerning for obvious reasons. What better way to convince people that socialism doesn't work, than to stage a socialist experiment. So has anyone seen this or something like this before? If so, how did that work out? Seeing that the reactionary Fox network is airing this only makes me have worse feelings.

I think he said "social" project not socialist. But yea some of my relatives have been on "reality" tv shows and it's all scripted and everything. Like that show House Hunters, the people are supposed to be browsing potential homes, but my aunt was on it and they already bought the house before the show and just acted surprised when they looked at the houses. I wouldn't be surprised if they just planned what the "Utopia" looked like beforehand and just acted it out.

Damn. Can't say I'm completely surprised about that house hunters thing. But they are actually going to bring up socialism on that show, I saw a different commercial here on TV that said so but I couldn't find it on youtube.

Yeah, they broadcast it here, another fine gift from dutch media to the world.
It's complete crap, horrible people, way to much outside outside interference.
It's just "big brother" or "im a celebrity, get me out of here" on the cheap.
If they made it an actual group survivalist meets lords of the flies thing like they presented it it might have been semi interesting but they where allowed to bring a ton of shit from home, within a week they "fixed" electricity and regular food delivery etc etc. People get voted out by the public which makes the social dynamics uninteresting (its a popularity contest to the outside, not a experiment in social behavior)
Like said, its just the big brother house on the cheap, nothing to see there.
