I doubt anyone remembers me. #FF0000 did, Q, BOZG, and Yazman might too. Same with a few others. I came to this site on and off since 2003-04ish to 2009. With my old account (Linux_Rocks), and then this one. Mainly in the old IRC. I came back yesterday again, cause I finally remembered my password for the e-mail this account was on. (Cause passwords here expire for no reason.) As well as to see how much or little has changed here. On my friends list, several people are banned. I missed a lot of shit evidently (another purge, I guess). But some shit is the same.

I've got a few questions: What happened to the IRC? Where's Malte? Why was BobKindles banned?

But anyways, what up doe?

Oh hey what's up? I don't know you but it's good to have some old folk here, hopefully it improves the quality of the forum

IRC was killed off. Quite a few of us went to ##marxism on irc.freenode.net :)
Malte/Edelweiss is everywhere and nowhere ;)
BobKindles ragequited if I remember correctly.

So yeah, awesome to see you're back :)

Because it was BobKindles.

Welcome back! I'm pr. sure I remember you as Linux_Rocks, though more so your existence than anything you said because I spent some intervening years using my brain as a boozesponge.

But . . . yeah . . . for those of us who are forgetting details or never knew them, where are you from? What's your schtick? Etc.

I'm fairly certain Linux_Rocks was a banned account.

I can't find the log about it, but it's banned yes. Presumably then it's banned due to a double account. But I'll ask around.

It may have had something to do with the whole agent debacle.

After some searching it turns out Linux_rocks was allowed by the CC to create a new account a few years after the ban of their original account, which happened in 2005 or 2006. TAT was the one who raised the issue upon their request, in 2008. So it's all cool.

Welcome back. :)

Thanks, glad to be back. I'll check out that channel on Freenode later on. I was gonna make a channel there, but now I don't have to. :p

All these username changes have made me lost. I'm from Detroit, and a non-Stalinist and non-revisionist Marxist-Leninist. I take from all over though. I'm also an atheist, anti-theist, scientific skeptic, a sympathizer to secular humanism, and a former union worker. I could go on a paragraph tangent on the specifics, but I won't bore anyone. ;)

Thanks, but about that. My old account was banned. Cause I joined the Rebel Alliance split in late 2005, with NovelGentry (Gent), Communist FireFox, and several others. On a disagreement with the CC, and the nature of it. We made new forums, and we posted about it here. I got banned, but it was overturned later. TAT went out of his way to help me, cause me and him were cool. :)

Actually, we were the reason why you weren't able to make new channels on irc.che-lives.com anymore. Cause we made a channel on there for our forums.

Thanks guys. I'm pretty sure I've pissed off or annoyed a few people here in the past. So, to anyone here that I did. My bad, sorry about that.

Also, on a side note, that Twitter link thingy in the settings doesn't work, or at least didn't for me. I just figured I'd mention it here, cause some of you are admins.

I know this is a bit late. But while I was gone from here. I did hear about redstar2000's passing from some peeps. It sucks, he was cool as fuck. I talked to him multiple times on IRC, and through PM too. He was funny, and also a very nice guy. So I certainly haven't forgotten about him Sentinel. :redstar2000:

Sentinel and I met with some of rs2ks long time comrades and revleft members in San Fran last year and scattered his ashes there. Here is the video

Oh yeah, that's right. I remember talking to you on MSN about redstar2000 a few times. Asking how he was, and whatnot. Cause you would visit him regularly. That was really cool of you guys.

It certainly would not bore me, but of course it must be up to everyone how much they want to discuss their personal life and development. But in any case it's always nice to see a political contributor return.

Anyway you will be glad we abolished the CC then. We now have a system where all users who reach 1200 posts - not vetoed from that capacity - can be nominated as moderators and raise proposals re: board policy, instead.

Yeah, I actually took care of him for 4 years. So many stories. I would give anything to have him back in my life. His death has been really hard on me.

Well, so much for my Commie Club ambitions. </sarcasm>

But seriously, I guess you could say I'm a White Panther. Like the ones back in the day, who were allies with the Black Panthers. They started out here in Detroit. I'm also a Fidelista, a Guevarista, and a Chavista. I follow the Hồ Chí Minh and Võ Nguyên Giáp schools of thought as well. I'm not a Maoist, but I take from Maoism a bit. Mainly on guerrilla war, and a criticism of revisionism. But the Anti-Revisionist label is too restrictive to certain groups. Which is why I said non-revisionist earlier. With that, I'm still supportive of the Soviet Union historically. Even if I criticize it at times.

I'm sure I'm forgetting several things, and could go deeper. But whatever, it's already convoluted enough as it is.

I bet, he was an important part of your life.
