To those in the UK. I'm going to help my son make something for me this afternoon because that's what he wants to do.
I kind of don't like these days because I feel that people should appreciate each other all year round. But... nobody does appreciate me or the work I do most of the time, so it's nice that when I explained why I was making a gift for my mum, my son said he wanted to make one for me.

This is one of those days that makes me get OCD over apostrophes.
But also Happy Mothers' Day!

Yes, sorry about that. I was actually going by where the apostrophe seems to be on most cards you can buy in the shops. Mothers' Day definitely makes more sense.

Well, I helped my son to make one, but I'm not sure if that counts. He did want to make it though :)

Happy mothers day! This thread kinda had me worried for a second cause I thought that I had forgotten to get my mom something. Didn't realize its a few months ahead in europe.

Bought my mum a 50cl bottle of Tanqueray Export and a copy of Dostoevsky's The Idiot, should distract her from asking me why I don't have a job for a while at least :P

Cripes, I was really flipped out for a second, all like, "Fuck, I still have time to drop by before it's too late!"
In fact, I have well over a month. Huh. I didn't know it was on a different day in the UK.
Anyway, happy mothers' day Quail, and any other UK mums that are on the forum.
