he is a french musician who came out from a band called Mano Negra.
I don't really like his music but it's interesting and a pretty original mix.

I heard he is involved in some anti-capitalism thing. I'm not quite sure, though...

I really love Bongo-Bong, i think it's a good litin sound but more chilled out which is why im so impressed. I just hope his lyrics don't oppose my liberal leftist stance, because well i cant understand most of what he sings.

I pretty much like his music and my two favourite songs with him is Clandestino and Desaparecido.. Those songs tells a little bit about the life of "illegal aliens" I think. When I put his cds on, the time seems to run away very quickly because its so fluid. And on a dvd I have, it shows a little bit from his journey in south america.. Bolivia, Ecuador and Mexico mainly.. Seems to be a nice guy as well..

Yes, "Rumba de Barcalona" is a particularly fine recording,
but back to Mano negra - they were awesome..

Arthur Rock? - as in inspector arthur rock? - isn't that the name of the contact that raoul and dr. gonzo give to the maid in Fear and Loathing? or is there some other meaning to it?
p.s. sorry a bit off topic

People Manu chao is one of the greatest lefftist musicians of France and the whole world. His music talks about anti capitalism and anti globalization. He is the best musician ever. Dont try out the latest CDs if you dont like it. Try the previous ones with Mano Negra. There he has the best music you can listen to in terms of Punk. But i still think The latest Cds have the best mix of latin-afro-indian and everything concerning traditional music. Its awkward though being an anti-globalist to mix global music. He will definetely enthrall you people!!!!!!!!!!!
