Question on American "Democracy" for Communist

Do you, as a Communist/Socialist/ or just left-wing Reformist, believe the United States is really a Democracy? I don't. Look at 2000. And again, as I stated in my introduction I dont really believe Democracy in possible in a Capitalist society. Cooperations are too powerful, they buy BILLIONS of dollars worth of Ads and convince the stupid and ignorant that, for example, "Obamacare" is evil socialist totalitarianism. Or that giving BILLIONS of dollars to the richest !% will help them, the poor. ("Reaganomics") HOW STUPID!!! And in doing so discourages the Leftist, ourselves, that any use of fighting back is useless and to just give up. I was inspired by the Occupy movement. But the only way I could find out anything real about it was the internet. Because FOX Noise, CNN, and even MSNBC (The supposed "liberal" media) didnt bother covering it. BBC did more to cover Occupy Wall Street than CNN. But you know what they covered NON-STOP the fucking Tea Party Rallies. Occupy had 20x as many protesters. The Tea Party was sponsored by the Koch brothers, but was labeled as "grass roots", the media didnt bother to check. But the Occupy movement really was a grassroots movement. I wanted to go so bad. But just didnt, I admire those that did, esp. the ones who were arrested! But what do I know? Im just a pissed off Communist. And not the posers at CPUSA (no offense to any CPUSA'ers.) but a Maoist. But my point is, with ALL the power in the hands of billionaires and MASSIVE cooperations, is Democracy just a flawed concept in American, and really ALL Western Imperialist nations? (With a few exceptions, like Sweden, Cuba, etc...)I forget the real statistics, but its something like 25 lobbyist, maybe more, per EVERY congressman. Most of which is Oil/coal and Banking/fiancees and some for Government contract seekers. And who can forget the good ol' insurance company. Who basically wrote the evil Socialist Obamacare. And we all know Dick Cheney's Halliburton's no bid contracts under the Bush administration. Very few lobbyist are lobbying for non-profits. What do you think?

2nd question, which is a better read Mao's Bio, or Stalin's Bio. And which is really the best one. For they're many. Really what I want is one written by a fellow Communist. Not a so called "Non-Bias" one written by a Capitalist. Saying they were tyrants who did this or that. Forget they took power in a VERY poor nation and turned it into a World Power. Yeah, lets leave that part out. :glare:

3rd question, Do you believe Churches should should be tax exempt? This is basically just a yes or no question.

It's just obvious that there is no democracy in the USA as obvious there was no democracy in the Soviet Union and in other state capitalist societies.

1.) The United States is the very definition of a plutocracy and an oligarchy. While citizens have rights and are allowed to engage in politics through running for office or voting, the ownership class has much, much, much more say in how this country is run. The American state exists solely to manage their affairs.

2.) Depends on what you're looking for. Both were very...interesting personalities.

3.) No, organizations that hold large sums of wealth and land should not be able to hide behind religion to avoid paying their obligation, and religious institutions will find their property expropriated in the event of revolution, just like any other bourgeois individual or organization.

There are people that are in gyms trying to lose weight, work out from monday to friday and they eat pizzas on weekends. There are christians who go to church and do not share part of their wealth with others like Jesus Christ said a person should do in order to be a christian (a follower of the philosophy christ). And the socialist party of France which is in power in France is supposed to apply a socialist political model (workers-dictatorship), and instead France has a capitalist political model. And the ruling class and ruling politicians of USA (Democrats and Republicans) say that USA has a democratic system. But the word democracy means (a government of the people, which should be a workers-state, a workers-dictatorship). And the USA doesn't have a workers-dictatorship.

And the majority of people, the majorty of humans are not perfectionists, even many communists don't care if their own political party is 100% marxist and communist. Most people do not go to the heart of the matter, to the specifics of reality. And that's why this world is doomed, because many people who voted for Obama, voted for him, they thought Obama was going to apply an anti-war social-democratic regulated state-capitalist system. But instead of Obama is applying in the USA a pro-war, imperialist neoliberal economic political model. And despite of that those people who were waiting for Obama to stop all wars, are still supporting Obama

wvmarxist: We also have to blame the poor and the oppressed in USA for staying away from politics. A political science professor told me that people who stay away from politics and who have no political ideology, no political world view are worse than ultra-right wingers and nazis. When poor people stay away from political activism, they are really in a way giving all the wealth of USA to the upper and middle classes.

And in America millions of poor people are totally anti-politics

The US political system is a bourgeois democracy. Emphasis on bourgeois. Bourgeois ideology rules supreme, and that generally means most people have a bourgeois worldview such that their voting doesn't pose a threat to the ruling class.

The best way to gauge democracy in any state is whether public opinion reflects policy. When the US is viewed in this way it is consistantly true that the majority of public opinion has little or no effect on policy. This has been studied in depth. Thomas Ferguson's work is excellent.
