Hello all, I am planning on writing some sort of research paper on workers movements during the industrial revolution. I have a quick question. Does anyone know of a scholar who has provided pretty good estimates about the size of membership in the First International Workingmen's Association and the Anarchist St. Imier International? I have found a few vague mentions of membership ranging from 1 million to five or eight million, but I was hoping to locate someone who had done more sophisticated analysis. Thank you!
