Hello.

I've been something of a collectivist for a long time. I really don't like how things are in American society, the way everyone is so obsessed with consumption and individualism. It sometimes seems like corporations are given more rights than people.

I would like to see a society where people are concerned with each other, and not just themselves. Where there are systems to rely upon, and more help available to help people reach their potential. Rather than just demanding that everyone struggle to survive on their own, and "get theirs" in some kind of rat race.

I've always felt that there had to be a better way of living, something a bit more humane. I'm hoping that there will be a few like-minded people here.

Welcome :)

If you have political questions, you can ask them in the Learning forum. That's why it's there after all!

If you have questions about your account, don't hesitate to send me a PM or ask here.

I'm sure you will find some likeminded souls over here :)

Quite true. I suppose that's why many of us are here. Corporations actually do have more rights than people at this time in the US sadly.

I've always felt the same way. I suppose it's similar to how the character Winston felt in 1984--of course without quite the same level of totalitarianism. Though the US is getting there.

Welcome to the forums, and feel free to pop into the chatango chat (the red box with the white talk bubble in it at the lower-right of the browser window).

I'm sorry this is random, but I'm using the tapatalk app and it says I don't have permission to use this introduction forum... Can someone help? I try to start a new topic and it tells me I don't have permission
