Hello, my name is Desmond. I am from southern W.V. Looking to get into extreme left-wing activism. But Im kinda stuck in the boonies for the meantime. Is they're any groups that practice REVOLUTIONARY Socialism/Communism not this "Yeah lets hold a demonstration every once in a while" like the CPUSA. No offense to any CPUSAers but if you're going take the name Communism, you cant endorse the fucking Democratic party every election. Of whom's entire platform is Capitalism. Yes it IS the better of two evils (Republicans being equal to Nazis). Just saying. Ive spoken to Socialist Action and Party for Socialism and Liberation. The later being my favourite but not big on at-large members. I just dont have the funds to move right now. And my dad (of whom is my life) is currently sick and needs me. He is a genius and a true hippie. Taught me everything I know about the Left. But just wanted to say hey.:hammersickle:
Welcome :)
If you have political questions, you can ask them in the Learning forum. That's why it's there after all!
If you have questions about your account, don't hesitate to send me a PM or ask here.
The CPUSA is broadly considered here to have left any traces of communist politics. All what is left is the name. That said, the far left in the US (and elsewhere) is splintered and mostly irrelevant. But there are quite a few groups, have a look at this page for a somewhat complete overview (http://eng.anarchopedia.org/List_of_Left-Wing_Parties_in_the_United_States).
But what are your political views, if anything in particular?

If I would have to classify myself as anything it would be an internationalist, and a Utopian Communist. I believe the world should unite, not be this Multi-National countries competing against each-other. The U.S. competing against Russia and China, East vs. West, Black vs. White, etc. A one-world system. Not necessarily democratic because like a wise once said; "The greatest argument against democracy is the average voter." I believe it should be governed by intellectuals. I dont consider myself an American, I consider myself human. I dont believe in money. I want to live in a world that has no currency. You get what you need and in return you work for the betterment of humanity. Everyone is equal. Also like Lennon said; "AND NO RELIGION TOO!"
Interesting positions. One note:
Not necessarily democratic because like a wise once said; "The greatest argument against democracy is the average voter." I believe it should be governed by intellectuals.
Mind you that, despite popular misconceptions aside, elections have nothing to do with democracy. They are in fact an oligarchic way of selecting officials.
Second, communists are principled democrats as it brings our class to power (that is, in the West, where the working class is the vast majority of society). Again, we critique existing 'democracy' in doing this.
