I understand why sexist and racist things are censored. But R005T3R is censored (*******) what other words are censored and what's the history?

There was a little joke cult around the guy. He made a rape-joke (or a video that was a rape joke) and got banned for it. Then people kept being into that joke cult thing and it kinda got annoying and seemed, I assume, as defending a rape joke.
Most of it was internet drama though still fairly irritable.

The name of a leftcom forum that consisted of people that got banned here (for various reasons I'm not gonna get into here, wasn't around at the time anyways). No others come to mind.

in general/on principle we dont censor words, if we do its indeed in general related to internet drama, its mostly used to block links to fascists sites or to split fora who launched boardwars against us, even the reason b1tch is censored is only because a member got told of for using sexist language and then proceeded to putting the word in a non-sexist context in his signature. rather than taking up his dare to infract him fro it i just blocked the word, i guess i could unblock it now that he changed his sig because i wouldnt play. :)

Hey did not make rape joke. He posted a video for the sole reason of a creepy cock mask which contained a rape joke. I don't think R really knew this and posted it unwittingly. Thas what I think anyway.

I think it's pretty stupid at this point. I mean, what if I want to talk about KFC? Or other cock related news? Guess what? I can't and instead have to use a word I inherently associate with dicks. :(

I think leaving ******* censored stands as an important monument to a moment of RevLeft history that needs to be periodically talked about and acknowledged (so that it is not repeated).

As for ***** (a female dog), I think it's worth leaving censored insofar as it stands as a kind of marker - someone posts it, sees that it's censored, and hopefully gets the point that this board isn't going to tolerate casual sexism.

IIRC he posted a video that was a rape joke (never watched though) and Psycho wanted "big bad брустер" to say he was sorry and he either refused or said nothing. Probably because he was so.. uh.. cocky. (geddit?) So the moral of the story is that rape jokes are only bad if you don't lie that you're sorry.

Would it be possible to censor words in a specific forum? What I mean is that we should censor worlds like capitalism, libertarianism, conservatism, fascism, etc in opposing ideologies so the restricted users make absolutely no sense.:laugh: Perhaps we could just do it to restrict members instead (if that is possible)?
