If you thought you couldn't hate imperialism any more. Try this on for size. This video is offensive towards the French. You have been warned.

Opulent Cadillac Video

This video reeks of anti-Frenchism. The final words are French, N'est-ce pas. It means "isn't it so?"

Reminds me of the anti-Japanese propaganda. Warning the following is offensive.

I dont really see how a French person could be offended by that. If I was French I'd be like 'Fuck yeah I go to the cafe and drink wine and enjoy the sun and have a month off, whereas this guy is gonna come home in his brand new car and his kids will be pissed because he never sees them and his wife will have run off with Jean Paul Sartre.'

Well considering that France is an imperialist country I don't really see why I would be offended

Yep, who wants to take time off to enjoy time with friends and loved ones when you can do some honest, decent, nose-to-the-grindstone work day in and day out with absolutely no guarantee that it will mean your quality of life improves or that you have health care, that you'll get anything to live off if / when you retire.
Work work work, and be fucking grateful for it no matter how shitty it is, that's the American way, c'est la vie HAHAHAHAHAHAHA french people HAHAHAHA *smile for the camera*

Don't see how that's imperialist, nor do I see how that guy is 'working hard'.

I suppose it's meant to appeal to the 'midlife crisis jingo' demographic.

I agree. I used to want a cadillac, now I don't. I could steal one!

Cadillacs are the one true revolutionary choice, all other cars are reactionary.

Back in World War 2 I began to really take a shining to that generous Japanese gentleman. He was a symbol of hope, hope that there is an alternative to not talking a day off. Not only was I being offered a day off, he cared so much for my leisure that he asked me to please take the day off. He had the most adorable little hat with a single red polkadot on it too. Never did learn the fellow's name.

Anyhow, I'm glad that the tradition is being carried on, even if it's by one of those damn French.

You could work everyday of your life in America and not be able to afford that car, what bullshit.
