I'd be surprised if anyone on this forum has actually ever been there.

According to wiki it was "formerly Frunze". The current name of the city relates to fermented mare's milk.

I'd much prefer Frunze but I guess we can't always get what we want.

I thought Bishkek sounded better than Frunze in all honesty, I wonder if anyone on this forum lives there and speaks English
