Today, tonight and tomorrow morning I will be embarking on the perfect storm of labour. Through sheer happinstance of poor schedueling and a co-worker calling out sick I have the honor of working my first 24 hour shift! Been at it since 5:30 a.m. L.A. time. So far I've past the"tricks are for kids" 12 hour mark and now I'm on the home stretch of the dreaded graveyard shift. This is where most mortals flail and drown in their own 24 hour bravado. No, not I. I learned from the best, Jerry Lewis doin in a tux no less! 24 hours of le mans. So let's all get on board for the final push, onward and upward! Overtime! Double time! Falling asleep at the wheel! Are you with me?

O.K., this is getting weird. Waaaay to much coffee and decreased lack of judgment. Just hallucinated and thought I was playing majan with group of Dominican bikers.

Pretty sure this was a bad idea. The only good part was taking my lunch on a bench in the middle of the night on Hollywood Blvd. Three hours left. I wanna puke coffee.

It's over. Not with a sonic boom but an infantile whimper. And thank you revleft for all your support and concern. In a way I feel that we did this together. Throughout all the coffee, the pre-packaged food I had to eat, it was you. Yeah, thanks for those last 10 lonely hours of nothing. Revleft,...........only the best.

Im tired.

I see you are clearly suffering sleep deprivation and I fear your safety and the safety of inanimate objects around you. Please sleep and eat.

Ugh that's horrible. I had to pull something similar to this but luckily I was able to get 2 hours sleep in.

Worked a double restaurant shift. 11am-2am, drive 2 hours to my parents near the Air Base so I can get up at 6am for my 7am-5pm guard duty.

Shit sucks when all you have is coffee and pre-packaged foods. My stomach hates me.
