Greetings from Ireland. The land of cronyism and backhanders.

The "leftist scene" here, is quite small as historically Ireland is seen as a more Right leaning country. I'd love to get in touch with other people from the Kildare area of Ireland if there are any here.

I became a leftist from my dissolusionment with the current political and economic system in place throughout the world. However I'm still relatively new to all of this so any recommended reading would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome :)

If you have political questions, you can ask them in the Learning forum. That's why it's there after all!

If you have questions about your account, don't hesitate to send me a PM or ask here.

What would you be interested in reading?

Do you mind if I ask of your opinions on the Sinn Fein party in the North?

Greetings comrade and i love the name :) . Radiohead is one of my favorite bands for sure.

What tendency do you lean more towards? Ireland has always had difficulties when it comes to Socialism as it is still a country mired in the sectarian politics of old. Most Irish people i know from the north or south don't care about religion at all but some old bitter bastards still do.

Does the IRSP run anyone in the north or south these days? Or are they pretty much done for in terms of support
