Is it easy to grasp political truths?

Well my assumption of the american society is that capitalism is so deep implemented into the society that it has kind of brain washed a lot of people. Commercials and advertising tells us to search for the American Dream while in school, you learn how bad socialism is for chasing down the dream and how sharing your "money/things" with others can affect the dream. I think its scares people away.

At the same time, communism/socialism has always been a big "tabu" in american politics and has been used to scare people away from the search of a better life.

Well that's just my opinion :)
